MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB:
This is an individual contributor role with expectations aligned to the Capabilities and Behaviors as set out in the Abbott Dundee Employee Handbook.
Within the engineering environment, the Facilities Engineer is responsible for providing engineering support and advice ensuring the smooth and timely repair, maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment and systems. In addition, provide engineering support for building services and function to maintain building standards in a compliant fashion.
This role will provide callout cover, as required, (24/7).
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Working in a cross functional team to ensure efficient operation of critical and automated systems. This includes reviewing performance history and maintenance history to continue to make ongoing improvements to efficiency.
- Ensuring that all building services are maintained and are operating to a high standard. This includes ensuring all preventative maintenance work orders are completed on time and all demand maintenance work orders are completed in an efficient and timely manner (target <30 days).

- To lead quality investigations relating to facilities, utilities and critical equipment.

- An understanding of the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) - maximo preferable.
- Proficient with MS Word, Excel and Power-Point.
- Experience in Process Engineering would be an advantage.
- Experience in PLC controls would be an advantage.
