Purpose of Role:
We are seeking a Facility Supervisor to oversee operations and maintenance at our clients site. The role is responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant working practices while managing a team of staff.

Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily operations within the complex, ensuring work is conducted safely and in line with established procedures.
- Develop, review, and implement safe systems of work.
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping and operational discipline across the facility.
- Contribute to work scope reviews, hazard assessments, and scheduling activities.
- Identify, report, and investigate abnormal conditions, incidents, or equipment failures, taking corrective actions to protect staff and the environment.
- Carry out responsibilities associated with key management authorisations, including Permit to Work Issuer, Radiation Protection Supervisor, Lift Supervisor, Radioactive Materials Coordinator, Risk Assessor, Project Supervisor, and FCA Building Warden.
- Provide line management, guidance, and development support to assigned staff.

Essential Requirements:
- Relevant site experience and understanding of regulated industrial environments.
- Experience in plant operations or industrial supervision in highly regulated settings.
- Strong organisational and planning capabilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proactive, self-motivated, assertive, and able to use initiative effectively.

The Role

Deliver site compliance and maintenance activities, including:

  • Legionella L8 flushing, dosing, and sampling

  • F-Gas management and support for contractor-led repairs

  • LEV system coordination and maintenance

  • Waste stream handling and site issue resolution

  • Addressing environmental and safety-related physical hazards

  • PAT testing and asset record maintenance

  • Perform hands-on maintenance and repair of facility services and equipment

  • Supervise third-party contractors and issue Permits to Work (PTW)

  • Use a CMMS system to develop and maintain a robust schedule of works

  • Work closely with site teams to prioritise tasks and escalate where needed

  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with local contractors and service providers

  • Manage purchasing processes while keeping costs within budget

  • Assist in equipment installations and facility relocations across the group

Experience & Qualifications
  • Experience in a Facility Engineer or maintenance role with an electrical focus

  • 18th Edition qualification

  • IOSH certificate

  • Manage all operational aspects of the sports facility, ensuring a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for all users.
  • Lead, motivate, and develop a team of facility staff, including supervisors and operational personnel.
  • Develop and manage the annual operating budget, controlling costs and maximizing profitability.
  • Implement and enforce health and safety regulations, conducting regular risk assessments and ensuring compliance.
  • Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of all facility equipment and grounds to the highest standards.
  • Develop and execute marketing and promotional strategies to increase membership and facility usage.
  • Organize and manage sports events, tournaments, and community programs.

  • Manage vendor relationships and contract negotiations.
  • Liaise with governing bodies and local authorities as required.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in a management role within the sports or leisure industry.
  • Strong understanding of facility operations, including maintenance, safety protocols, and event management.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and drive financial performance.
  • Certification in First Aid and relevant health and safety qualifications (e.g., IOSH) is advantageous.
