Job Summary:

Requirements:

Education:

Key responsibilities will be:

  • Support the IPC Planning Manager and/or PCM in the implementation and maintenance of Integrated Project Controls processes for Planning, including the production of monthly reports, through the provision of intelligent information and analysis
  • Collaborate with other Disciplines of Integrated Project Controls, as well as other Project Support Functions, to help deliver Project goals in keeping with the HPC principles of Trust, Transparency and Teamwork
  • Maintain an awareness of schedule interfaces with other Programmes and their potential impact
  • Produce and maintain the schedule baseline IWS in Primavera 6 (P6), with fully logic-linked work plans aligned to the Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and utilising approved construction techniques
  • Ensure the Level 2 IWS is updated to an agreed timeframe for monthly reporting
  • Ensure the HPC Level 3 schedules are updated when required to reflect work progress and performance, to an agreed timeframe defined by the Central Controls Team
  • Ensure that contractor schedules are produced in accordance with HPC processes and ensure that they align to the IWS forecast position

  • Provide quality checks on the Scheduling data
 

Qualifications

  • HND or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Construction or other related field
  • Proven relevant experience in a Project Management or Project Controls environment in a similar Scheduling role

The Role: Our client is looking to strengthen their planning team with a Planning Manager for a 70m project in the Southampton area. You will provide services to ensure that project plans have achievable timescales and are accurately monitored and updated.

Directly reporting to the Head of Planning, your responsibility is to manage other members of the project teams to develop, monitor, progress & report on tender & contractual programmes. This includes ensuring that both the operational & commercial members of the team are fully briefed on the critical activities & risks of their projects at all times.

You will be required to work closely with the commercial department to monitor costs, take ownership of several project plans, drive the project team to deliver to the plan & challenge any delay & deviation. THE JOB

The Programme Planning Manager job will play a key role, supporting the Programme Manager in delivering the strategic aims and objectives of the business through development, implementation and delivery of effective planning and assurance processes across a programme of projects (typically £ 0- 50m in value).

Key projects include replacing boilers with all-electric, non-fossil fuel plants and transitioning to refrigerants with lower global warming potential. Reporting to the Lead Planning Manager, you'll take a key role in leading the planning of projects across all stages of their lifecycle, from concept approval to delivery and closeout. Duties include:

  • Creating and maintaining schedules for the entire project journey, including internal and external interfaces.  This will include managing the control programmes from project concept to closeout, managing contract program evaluations, assessing compensation events, conducting delay analysis and helping to drive schedule improvements through to our supply chain
