Factory Technical Manager

East Yorkshire

£55,000 - £60,000

Food Manufacturing

You know that feeling when you walk into a factory and instantly spot three things that aren’t up to spec and your brain’s already fixing them before you’ve even signed in?

This is what we’re looking for.

This business wants someone who doesn’t just “manage technical.” They want someone who owns it. Someone who gets that compliance isn’t paperwork, it’s the backbone of quality.

You’ll be the go-to on everything technical in this busy factory. That means leading the quality team, upskilling, driving performance and steering audits from panic mode to “no problem.”

You’ll also be the person who helps everyone else get better at what they do. Production, Engineering, Warehouse - they’ll all look to you for what “good” really looks like.

This isn’t a clipboard role. You’ll be hands-on, knee-deep in improvement projects, spotting the things others miss, and fixing what slows people down. You’ll get stuck into factory trials, complaints, and continuous improvement. Basically, the stuff that actually moves the needle.

What you’ll need:

  • Solid experience in food manufacturing as a Technical Manager.
  • A proper handle on retailer standards (M&S, Tesco, Waitrose, Sainsbury’s).
  • Experience in leading audits.
  • A calm approach to dealing with problems.

In return, you’ll get a role where your ideas matter, your standards count, and your work actually improves things - not just ticks boxes.

Sound like the sort of place you’d make a difference? Then let’s have a chat.

If it’s almost right but not quite - still get in touch. If you’re good, they’ll want to know you.
