We're looking for a hands-on Factory Operative to join their busy warehouse and production team. This is an excellent role for someone who enjoys practical work and using hand and power tools
Duties of the Factory Operative :
Using a variety of hand and power tools
Preparing raw materials for production
Measuring, cutting and strong attention to detail
Wrapping and preparing finished goods for dispatch
Moving products through the production process
General warehouse duties, including heavy lifting
What we're looking for:
Previous factory, warehouse, or manufacturing and production experience (preferred but not essential)
Comfortable with heavy manual handling tasks

Monday–Thursday – 6am starts (Only a 4 day week!)
My client is looking for Factory Operatives to join their team. Only a 4-day working week , you will be working in a hot factory environment, carrying out a variety of tasks including a large amount of manual handling. Additional paid breaks will be given to allow for the hot environment.
Duties include
- Manual handling – heavy lifting required li>Moving materials across the factory
- General factory duties
- Cleaning products using various hand and power tools
- Using smart tablet to log and mark off jobs
- Any other duties required
The successful candidate will have / be:
- Access to a vehicle due to location and start time.
- Previous experience in a factory environment.
- Physically fit in order to carry out heavy lifting and large amounts of manual handling.
- Happy to work in a hot environment.

In this role, your goal is to service the production line with materials as per line schedule in a timely manner to avoid any downtime waiting for raw materials.
To inform the Production Supervisor of any problems concerning raw material availability that may affect the quality of the lines finished product and efficiency of the line
- Communication with production managers and Coordinators.
- Locating & batching raw materials ready for the next run.
- Ensuring these batched items are the correct code with useable shelf life
- Transporting these materials to the line on change over
- Removing materials from the previous run from the line
- `topping up' materials on the line to ensure sufficient stock is available for use during each production run
- To ensure adherence to all appropriate systems and procedures; HACCP and H&S.
- You'll also be making sure that your job is done to a high degree of accuracy and speed in line with company expectations.

Full training will be provided if successful in this role but are looking for the following knowledge and experience:
