Job Role: Mobile Fitter (Agricultural Equipment)
Location: Swindon, Wiltshire (accepting applications from surrounding counties)
Salary: £30,000-£0,000 (OTE 5,000- 0,000+) – paid door to door
Hours: Monday-Friday 08.00-17:00 + Door to Door Paid + Overtime @ 1.5x
Job Type: Full time, Permanent
The client:
Interaction Technical have partnered with a growing, world leading manufacturer of Agricultural Engineering Equipment based in the Gloucestershire area to support the growth of their engineering team. Due to the growth of the business, our client is now looking to add an electromechanical field engineer in and around the Cirencester area to maintain, repair and service an array of Agricultural machinery.
The package:
• 32 days holiday including bank holidays – increasing with service
• All overtime after 37.5 hours paid at 1.5X midweek, x2 on Sundays and Bank Holidays (£22.50-£ .50 per hour)
• Plenty of overtime available per week (average availability is 15-20 hours) Min (5 hours): Additional £5 50pa / Average (15 hours) : Additional 7,550pa
• Holiday overtime pay – paid in May (£1,5 paid last year)
• Ongoing commitment to training and progression
• Pension scheme – 3% employee minimum, 8% employer
• Company van, Fuel Card, mobile phone etc
• All Travel Time, Expenses paid from home to/from site.
• A fantastic Earning Potential with scope to progress
The Duties:
• Accurately diagnosing faults, servicing and carrying out emergency repairs/breakdowns on agricultural machinery (tractors, combiners, Bailers etc)
• Travel to customer sites to ensure all machinery is maintained and repaired to the highest quality.
• Carry out diagnostics to diagnose mechanical and electrical faults on agricultural and horticultural machinery
• The ability to work independently within the customer sites and collaborate with colleagues to ensure documentation and the perfect solution is offered.
• Working on engines, batteries and hydraulics, alongside mechanical and electrical fault finding and repairs.
• Liaising with clients to diagnose faults and find solutions for them.
The Requirements:
• Previous experience working with hydraulics, alongside mechanical and electrical capabilities (essential)
• Previous experience working within the Agricultural industry experience (essential)
• Electrical and/or Mechanical fault finding, repair & service experience (advantageous)
• Experience working with engines and batteries (advantageous)
• Relevant qualifications NVQ or City and Guilds in mechanical/electrical engineering (advantageous)
• Full UK Drivers License

Are you a Mechanical Fitter from a Plant or similar looking for a varied role working on state-of-the-art machinery within a leading machinery provider that will provide electrical training on installing digital GPS systems and cameras with and ongoing routes to progress?
This company is a leading plant and heavy construction machinery provider with numerous depots around the UK. They have around 25 years' experience and are continually investing in the growth of this industry leading business.
In this role you will be split between the workshop and field across a southeasterly patch with flexible hours, working on a range of construction machinery. You will work within a tight-knit team of engineers, diagnosing and reporting faults and servicing machines.
This role would suit a Mechanical Plant Fitter with experience working with hydraulic systems looking for a days-only, mobile role within a leading company who offer a good working environment and work-life balance.
The Role
- Undertake planned maintenance, reactive maintenance
- Working a 60 - 40 split between the workshop and field
- 42.5-hour weeks Monday to Friday, with flexible start times
- Covering a southeast England patch
The Person
- Mechanical fitter or similar
- Plant, Agricultural or HGV experience
- UK driver's license
