General Farm Worker and Tractor Driver
Are you an experienced Farm Worker & Tractor Driver with a passion for hands-on work on mixed arable and livestock farms?
Location of the Job:
Staffordshire / Shropshire, West Midlands.
Salary and Benefits Package:
Paying a competitive hourly pay rate depending on experience, plus overtime.
3 bedroom accommodation available - if you wish to relocate for work.
Additional information:
This is a permanent full-time position.
About The Company:
A mixed farm of arable operations and dairy / livestock.
The Job Role Details:
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Farm Worker to join this agricultural team.
You will be responsible for a variety of tasks that support the daily operations of the farm.
This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn about farming practices.
As Farm Worker you will engage in activities such as tractor driving and farm machinery operating, animal care, relief milking and farm equipment maintenance.
As well as seasonal field work such as carting corn and straw bales, drilling and general field maintenance including fencing.
Key Responsibilities:
You will…
- Drive tractors, carry out drilling and maintain the farm machinery.
- Conduct basic repairs on machinery and equipment as needed.
- Engage in heavy lifting as required for various farm duties.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of work areas to promote safety and efficiency.
- Provide care for livestock, including feeding, cleaning, some milking, bedding and scraping.
- General farm maintenance work around the farm including field fencing.
Ideal Person Skills & Qualifications:
You will have / be…
- Experience driving tractors and operating agricultural and farming machinery.
- Experience working on a mixed / arable / dairy / livestock farm in a recent role.
- A full driving licence.
- Enthusiastic, reliable and committed to working as a team.
