Ladies Fashion Brand Seeking a Commercial Fashion Buyer - Tops, Jersey & Leisure
You will lead the sourcing and buying strategy for the Tops, Jersey, and Leisure categories, delivering against agreed KPIs. Work in close partnership with the merchandiser to plan, balance, and optimise the range in line with business goals.

Main Areas of Accountability
- Lead and motivate the buying team to achieve targets.
- Build and maintain a capable, reliable supply base.
- Negotiate competitive prices while upholding product quality and standards.
- Shape and protect the brand's product handwriting.
- Balance "good, better, best" product mix to meet strategy.
- Monitor competitor activity and benchmark against the market.
- Drive profit and intake margin, focusing on achieved NAM.
- Champion innovation and newness to maximise sales and reduce risk.
- Address and manage underperformance effectively.
- Collaborate with technologists on fit and quality standards.
- Visit stores regularly, liaising with Retail and VM teams.
- Work with suppliers to develop new product opportunities.
- Manage product sign-off timelines and critical path for the department.
Additional Responsibilities
- Support marketing and trading activity through Press & POS.
- Partner with HR to develop team skills and capability.
- Promote cross-functional collaboration with Buying & Merchandising.
- Cascade strategic objectives to wider teams.
- Ensure consistent delivery of agreed looks and colour palettes.
- Share and implement best practice across the buying floor.
- Keep leadership informed on issues and developments.
- Deliver key seasonal events (Windows, Tables, Collections, POS, Catalogue, Mailer, TV Shopping).
- Drive growth of online and multichannel offer via internet exclusives.

What you’ll tackle
- Hunt for white-hot products globally; validate with small private-label runs.
- Negotiate manufacturer MOQs, logistics and QC to the bone.
- Build launch packs (content angles, price tests, bundle ideas) for creators.
- Kill slow movers fast; scale winners faster.
Must Haves:
- A track record taking products from idea to 100,000s units scale
- Obsessive MVP mentality
- Rolodex of factories, freight forwarders and QC agents.
- Fluent in landed-cost economics, not just FOB prices.
