An opportunity has arisen for an Electrical Project Engineer to join the team. Ideally, you will be based in or around the Castleford area and will have the opportunity to travel across multiple sites/projects in the Region.
You will become a key member of a team successfully delivering schemes of varying sizes predominately to the Water Industry in sewage and clean water. You will work alongside the project delivery team to ensure the design, procurement, financial control and site activities are achieved.
Key Responsibilities:
- Outline engineering from inception to completion of schemes utilising in-house resources, site installation and construction personnel.
- Delivery of projects electrical installations. e.g., Pumping Stations, Dosing Systems, Chlorination plants & associated structures etc.
- Early site investigation works in coordination with the client, design and project team
- Production and review of health and safety documentation (risk assessments & method statements / Project management plans).
- Procurement of materials
- Attendance and input into internal and client design reviews
- Working closely with the design team to gather all required information
- Involvement with cost to complete / budget reviews with the project delivery teams
- Involvement with preparation of subcontract orders
- Assistance with the evaluation and submission of claims for variation works
- Liaison with site manager and site teams to ensure work is completed to programme, budget, and quality
- Developing Inspection and Test Plans and ensuring they are completed as the scheme progresses
- Innovation whilst maintaining compliance to current standards
- Preparation & management of project programmes
- Proactive approach to maintaining high standards of Health & Safety performance
- To work with the team to develop and close out all contract documentation such as, "As built" drawings, Inspection & Test Certification and Operation and Maintenance Manuals
About You:
- An industry applicable electrical ONC/HNC/B.Eng or NVQ equivalent
- Proven experience within the Water Industry
- Working knowledge of Trimble (Amtech), Autocad or Relux would be desirable, but not essential.
- ATEX experience desirable but not essential
- Commercial and contractual awareness
- Working knowledge of Microsoft packages including Project
- Desire to understand and promote the Company purpose, vision, values and culture

In this role you will design scaffold and shoring systems and providing engineering support for minor and major scaffold projects across the UK; specifically supporting advanced and special solutions working both independently and as a member of a team. They are looking for an analytical individual with sound engineering understanding and experience of Frame Analysis programs in relation to scaffold designs. Experience in a similar role, working with all aspects of Scaffold and Shoring designs and designing with Eurocodes / BS's would be beneficial, as would planning and project management skills and tender development skills. Working with Eurocodes and BS's and NASC Technical Guidance, experience with 3D structural frame analysis software used for designing and analysing beam, frame, and truss structures is required as is CDM 2015 knowledge.
A full UK drivers license is required for this role as the role requires some travel to visit the site to deal with site issues or safety critical items
