Field-Based Work (UK-wide):

• Travel extensively, including overnight stays (often Mon–Fri), with van and expenses provided

Workshop & Production Support:

• When not on site, help build, prepare, and configure systems to the highest standards

Customer Interaction:

• Provide professional, friendly support and training on-site
• Communicate clearly with a wide range of stakeholders, including senior managers and operations teams
• Spot opportunities to enhance systems and recommend upgrades

Technical & Safety Standards:

• Use power tools and work from technical diagrams confidently
• Ensure all work is compliant with Health & Safety regulations
• Conduct wiring and software updates (training provided)

Essential:

• Hands-on experience in an engineering, installation, or technical support role
• Confident using power tools and basic electrical tasks

• Midlands-based for easy access to sites across the UK
• Ability to travel across the UK with overnight stays
• Comfortable lifting and handling equipment up to 100kg with support

• Strong communication skills and a proactive, reliable approach
• Clear record and ability to pass Level 2 police vetting

As a key player in our site operations, you'll ensure all construction activities involving welding and pressure systems meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance.

• Oversee welding and NDT-related activities to ensure alignment with safety, contractual, and regulatory requirements.
• Identify and mitigate quality issues to support timely project delivery.
• Review Quality Control Plans and Inspection Records.
• Submit and manage Non-Conformance Reports.

Role Overview:
We're seeking a reliable, hands-on Field Engineer / Site Manager to maintain and troubleshoot our site infrastructure. This part-time role (8-12 committed hours per week) bridges technical engineering, practical hands-on tasks, and general site management. Candidates must be available to respond promptly in the event of urgent issues (additional call-out compensation provided). It's ideal for a versatile individual comfortable with varied work—from technical troubleshooting to routine site upkeep.

Key Responsibilities:

• p>Perform hands-on tasks including low-voltage electrical wiring, drilling, installing glands, and cable management.

• Execute routine visual inspections of all site equipment, meticulously documenting conditions.

• Assist in installing and maintaining aerials, ropes, guidewires, and associated hardware.

• Clearly mark cable routes, ensuring pathways are tidy, safe, and well-documented.

• Maintain, organize, and secure tools, workshop spaces, and equipment storage areas.
