Field Service Technician – Electric Powered Vehicles / Equipment


DCS Engineering, a specialist recruitment agency, is working with a leading company in the North West who are looking to expand their team with an experienced Field Service Technician.

This role involves servicing, maintaining, and diagnosing faults on a wide range of small electric vehicles and lifting equipment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Service and repair electric-powered trucks, lifting equipment, and small electric vehicles (12v – 96v systems)
  • Advanced fault finding and diagnostics (field and workshop based)
  • Provide detailed service reports and follow service protocols
  • Manage van stock and collaborate with the technical team
  • Carry out LOLER & thorough examinations where required
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships

Requirements

  • Proven field service experience with an electrical bias
  • Strong background in mechanical and auto-electrical engineering
  • Confident with troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairs (AC & DC motors)
  • Relevant technical qualification or hands-on experience
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Flexibility to travel and stay away occasionally

  • Salary up to £35,000 (negotiable, with overtime at time and a half)
  • Monday–Thursday: 7am–4pm, Friday: 7am–1pm

**What we are looking for?**
Our Field Service Engineer role it ultimately responsible for the execution, repair and maintenance of our pumps, for our customers. Working either individually or in a team to address the customers' requests in an efficient and professional manner.
You would need the ability to disassemble, inspect, trouble-shoot, repair and replace parts, along with being able to reassemble pumps and pump systems.
