Fully office based 5 days per week (plenty of free parking and close to all transport routes)
I'm delighted to be partnering with an impressive, growing IT organisation, who are Private Equity backed and are very keen to appoint a Finance Assistant into their growing finance team in Maidenhead, due to a number of recent acquisitions. This is the perfect role that will utilise your existing transactional finance experience, but will allow you to learn new areas of finance as you support the Management Accountant with wider accounting tasks. This role would suit candidates who already have existing transactional finance experience, and keen for their next role - applications from non-studiers and AAT studiers (or early stages of ACCA/CIMA) also welcomed. Initially this role will be hired as a fully office based role.

The successful Finance Assistant employed here, will support the Management Accountant and the wider Finance Team with a varied and impressive list of duties and the role will evolve over time to more responsibilities over the years:

- Transactional finance - working closely with the AP and AR specialists, and supporting them daily
- Preparing and posting revenue invoices for multiple entities
- Credit control assistance. working alongside the AR specialist
- Direct Debit Processing
- Entering and processing financial data
- Reconciling bank statements, supplier accounts, and customer accounts
- Maintaining accurate financial records
- Assisting the Management Accountant with Financial Reporting - Revenue recognition
- Aged debtor analysis
- Credit limit reviews
- General Ledger and Accounts
- Working with other Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable
- Analysis and support, providing analytical support to the team
- Assisting with business requests and resolving queries.
- Other ad-hoc duties as required
- Additional duties - may involve configuring and supporting financial systems.
Profile of the successful Finance Assistant
- A can do, will do attitude to learning
- Technical Skills - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, financial software, and accounting systems. Training to be provided
- Communication Skills - Clear and concise communication is necessary for interacting with team members, customers, suppliers and other departments.
- Attention to Detail - Maintaining accuracy in financial records and reports is essential
- Working with others in the finance team in a collaborative manner, in order to gain exposure to and experience within multiple areas of finance.
