Job Description

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Data and Systems Finance Associate to join our FP&A team. This role will be pivotal in maintaining and improving the accuracy, reliability, and timeliness of financial and operational reporting. You will also play a key role in data governance, ensuring data integrity across systems, and support the team with month-end financial processes.

We are offering a hybrid working contract with most of your time spent working from home. However, you will be required to attend the office in Ashford, Kent once per week, so you must be comfortable and flexible with travel and commuting for project and team meetings.

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities:

Reporting

  • Own and deliver key daily, weekly, and monthly financial and operational reports to stakeholders across the business.

  • Support the FP&A team with ad-hoc reporting and data requests.

  • Identify and implement improvements to streamline reporting processes and reduce manual effort.

Data & Systems Governance

  • Maintain and reconcile master data relevant to FP&A (e.g., cost centers, product hierarchies, customer accounts).

  • Monitor data flows between systems, flag inconsistencies, and work with relevant teams to resolve issues. Actively promote good data governance and processes across the business.

  • Support data integrity projects and documentation of data definitions, structures, and ownership.

  • Collaborate with IT, Sales Operations, and Finance teams to support system upgrades and implementations.

Month-End / Ad-hoc Duties

  • Assist in monthly financial close activities, including system reconciliations, data uploads and preparation of standard reports.

  • Prepare variance analysis and support commentary for management reporting.

  • Supporting the budgeting, QBR and forecasting cycles and processes.

  • Managing timetabling and communications to wider finance teams and following up where necessary to ensure that deadlines are met so that tasks can be successfully completed.

About You:

You bring experience from a finance, data, or systems-related role and are eager to grow your career in a finance-focused environment. Ideally, you’ve thrived in fast-paced or multi-site settings, demonstrating strong analytical skills and a sharp attention to detail. You’re highly proficient in Excel (pivot tables, lookups, formulas) and have hands-on experience with cloud-based BI platforms, planning tools, and data governance best practices. Comfortable working with large datasets and multiple systems, you take a proactive, solutions-oriented approach—using initiative to resolve issues and drive insights. Above all, you have a business-partnering mindset, with the communication skills to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.

What we offer:

  • A competitive salary

  • Generous holiday allowance, with option to purchase 5 additional holiday days

  • Pension scheme

  • Hybrid working contract

  • Opportunity to apply for apprenticeship schemes for widely recognised finance qualifications.
