We are recruiting for a Finance Controller to join **our Rapid Diagnostics - Toxicology International Services Business.** As a Finance Controller you would be based in **Abbott's site in Abingdon** , Oxfordshire and would report to the Business Unit Controller.
**What You'll Do**
As a Finance Controller you will be the finance leader for the Toxicology International Services Division as part of the International Services Leadership Team.
This is a high-profile position, providing financial reporting for the Toxicology Senior Leadership Team, including the Divisional Vice President (DVP) and Business Unit Controller. You will be a key partner to the International Services General Manager, to provide high quality financial insight and preparation for meetings with senior leadership. This includes Exec S&OP, RLBE reviews and monthly business reviews, along with key project outputs on significant ongoing projects.
The role will be a key voice within the Leadership Team as well as providing financial leadership to a business which spans multiple geographies, and is complex both internally (commercial, manufacturing, lab and customer operations and R&D) and externally (customers in multiple sectors), in a period of change and pressure on profitability.
In this role you will manage a team of 3 direct reports, and you will be responsible for managing contributions from finance shared service centres, outsourced providers, and other indirect reports.
More specifically:
+ Ensure the production of accurate, timely and insightful financial reporting to key stakeholders to support decision making.
+ Management of a high performing FP&A team, with a focus on key talent development.
+ Management of completion and improvement of the daily, monthly and weekly revenue reporting to support commercial growth and inform accurate revenue projections.
+ Review of month end results and oversight of key balance sheet items, building relationships with accounting teams responsible for effective collaboration and communication required for accurate forecasting and risk management.
+ Provide insightful and commercial pricing support to the Commercial team, applying appropriate pricing governance.
+ Lead the financial planning process, including managing delivery of business modelling, budgeting & forecasting and timely submissions within the RLBE process.
+ Production and monitoring of KPIs.
+ Responsible for financial oversight of key capital investments and business change projects to ensure spending remains within approved requirements, and any risks are communicated effectively.
**Required qualifications/Profile**
+ Qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA)
+ Substantial post qualification experience (PQE)
+ Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential
+ Strong computer skills especially MS Office (Advanced Excel skills essential)
+ Able to interact with key stakeholders at a senior level
+ Experience of Hyperion and SAP is an advantage
