About the role:
We are currently seeking an experienced and highly motivated Finance Lead to join our team. As the Finance Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities of the company. This includes managing budgets, generating financial reports, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and coordinating with various stakeholders to support strategic decision-making. You will play a vital role in shaping the financial landscape of NOVA and driving growth through effective financial management. If you have a strong background in finance, exceptional analytical skills, and a passion for driving results, we would love to hear from you!
What you'll be doing:
- Lead the company's financial operations to ensure accurate and timely reporting whilst adhering to financial regulations and company policies.
- Create and deliver forecasts to support the company's growth strategy.
- Design and roll out scalable processes, controls and systems which are aligned with business goals, utilising technology for automation where feasible.
- Foster collaboration with internal teams to drive process improvements and optimise financial performance
- Engage with external stakeholders, including auditors to facilitate smooth financial operations.
- Conduct comprehensive financial analysis to enhance performance and operational efficiency.
- Build and mentor a high-performing team, carve out your role as a future leader of the business
Requirements
- Qualified Accountant: You must be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with experience in a similar role
- Financial Analysis: Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret financial data to provide meaningful insights to the management team
- Financial modelling experience: ability to create complex and well structured financial models to support strategic decision making.
- Experience with Financial Systems: Proficiency in using accounting software (we use Xero) and advanced knowledge of Excel
- Strong Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present financial information in a clear and concise manner
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in financial reporting and data analysis
- Adaptability and Problem-solving: Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and solve complex financial challenges
- Ethical Conduct: Demonstrated commitment to ethical conduct and high standards of integrity in financial management
- Team player: Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and build strong working relationships

JOB PURPOSETo deliver this ambition, the Fragrance Finance Lead role has been created to establish the new business model, lead the value creation on Unilever fragrance investment and drive business growth through innovation and excellence. This role will provide a unique experience on senior leadership management, new business model establishment and a strong grip of end-to-end financial operations. The role will work closely with Brand, R&D, Supply Chain, Strategy and Insights and Category Procurement teams.The Fragrance Finance Lead will be expected to:- Drive Value Creation and the quality delivery of business case.- Support the organisation in the right processes and new ways of working.- Drive the system set up of the legal entity for business operations.- Oversee the finance operations for Unilever Fragrance.
RESPONSIBILITIESBusiness case management- Ensure the signed-off business case is delivered on time and in full.- Provide timely forecasts of the latest operation developments and provide the latest view at senior stakeholder meetings.- End to end governance on Project Capex and Opex spend. Sign off the actuals in line with the budgets (Opex and Capex management).Performance Management & Value Partnering- Deliver the required performance of the unit.- Partner with all key stakeholders to deliver financial performance.- Value partners all opportunities to find savings, advance the timeline intended for the scope.- Define the annual commercial plans, including resource allocation and budget setting.Manage CapEx proposals and tracking progress spend:- PSL final Build and India Interim Build - ensure stays within budget and delivered on time in full- Partner UniOps Digital team to design the system architecture for the financial operations.- Partner the US & India Sites to refine Fragrance requirements for hubs, ensuring capex remains within budget and delivered in time and in full.Drive Strategy and alignment across Fragrance- Partner UFH to develop long term strategy proposals internal and external to Unilever.- Support through development of new business cases and Scoville Expansion, aligning resourcing requirements and ensuring clear ROI.Incorporating and design the end-to-end finance operations for the unit- Collaborate with suppliers, 3PM and UFH (procurement & supply chain) team to refine the most ideal way of the operation.- Collaborate across UFH, to define the operations of the fragrance entity in collaboration with Tax, legal, IT and core project team.
