Reed Finance is working with an organisation based in East Kilbride to recruit a Finance Manager. Our client, a successful SME based in East Kilbride, is seeking a talented Finance Manager to lead their finance team. This is an exciting opportunity for a finance professional to step into a leadership role and drive financial efficiency within the organisation.
It is mandatory to have previous staff management experience to be considered. Ideally, you will have a background in an SME environment. This is a hands on, varied position that is responsible for the smooth running of the finance team.
The main responsibilities the position entails are:
- Oversee and manage daily finance functions including payroll, purchase ledger and credit control
- Prepare monthly management accounts with a high level of accuracy
- Manage a team of five individuals
- Ensure full compliance with HMRC regulations, including CIS, VAT and PAYE reporting
- Perform regular Balance Sheet and Intercompany reconciliations
- Prepare and update weekly cash flow forecast
- Support the preparation of year end accounts
- Provide Financial insights and operational support to the Financial Controller
- Assist with the development of Mx
- Manage fixed assets and accruals and prepayments
- Support the preparation of regular and adhoc financial data and variance analysis on a monthly basis
To be considered for the role, you must possess the following experience:
- Qualified or qualified by experience accountant
- SME background is ideal
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
