Department Description

The Finance & Treasury function covers a broad spectrum of financial responsibilities for the Bank. Under the leadership of the CFO and the finance department heads, the team is responsible for equity raising and investor relations; treasury and liquidity management; prudential risk and regulatory reporting; financial reporting and accounting, financial planning, and tax management activities.



Role Description

We are looking for a Financial Reporting Accountant to join our Financial Control team at an exciting phase of our growth journey. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to lead across a number of areas of our close and reporting processes, own the review and challenge of certain key accounting assessments & judgments, support the maturity and automation of our controls, test the accounting impact of new product initiatives, as well as many other tasks.



Principal Accountabilities

  • Responsibility for the accounting of all treasury instruments, including but not limited to hedge accounting, collaterals, bonds and gilts.
  • Review of the management information prepared by Treasury, including the challenge and verification of their key models including IRRBB and liquidity metrics.
  • Preparation of monthly and annual financial statements (including P&L, Balance Sheet, Cashflow and supporting files.
  • Provide oversight over the Bank’s external financial reporting requirements, including any investor reporting.
  • Performance of variance analysis, reviewing variances against prior period actuals and forecasts and preparing summary commentary for management.
  • Review of key accounting areas such as ECL/IFRS 9 assumptions, capitalised development costs and EIR.
  • Working with the Finance Transformation team to support new product initiatives, including any accounting considerations.
  • Assessing the impact of corporate development activity to our financial statements.
  • Support the year-end audit process, working closely with the Bank’s external auditors.
  • Identify improvements in internal controls, as well as working with the Finance Transformation team to automate processes.
  • Assist with ad-hoc duties as needed.



Personal Attributes & Experience

  • Qualified ACA/ACCA or equivalent, ideally gained within a Big 4/Top 10 accountancy firm.
  • Experience of working in the Banking/FinTech/Financial Services industry, either in audit or in industry.
  • A genuine passion for FinTech and wants to contribute to the growth of Allica at an exciting phase of our journey.
  • Have strong analytical skillset, including the utilisation of data and reporting tools
  • Have the ability to work autonomously and be initiative-taking as required whilst working well within a team
  • Be able to solve complex problems
  • Strong influencing and people skills

Role Responsibilities

Qualifications & Skills

Education & Certifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional accounting qualification preferred (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CPA).

Experience

  • 3–5 years of experience in audit and financial reporting, ideally within a Big Four accounting firm or a large multinational corporation.
  • Proven track record in consolidation and financial statement preparation.
  • Financial industry experience is an advantage.

Technical Expertise

  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS, and FRS 102 accounting standards.

Role Overview

The role will be supporting the Senior Cost Manager on the Surrey Quays Station Upgrade project along with other London based projects. Located in the south-east of London, the upgrade to the existing Surrey Quays station is to provide a new second station entrance, second gate line, step free access, an additional footbridge, platform extensions and increased staff facilities. The upgrade to the existing Surrey Quays station is required to accommodate the forecast increase in demand. The project is currently planned to complete in early 2026.

Role Responsibilities

Your responsibilities as a finance assistant will be assisting with purchase ledger, including supplier deliveries and invoices. Resolving invoice queries both externally and internally. Assist with month-end reporting preparation and maintaining accurate financial records and spreadsheets. Also assisting the Senior Cost Manager with other finance tasks along with supporting the wider project team.

Skills, Experience and Qualifications

  • Desirable previous exposure to a construction or engineering environment.
  • Essential to have an interest in developing a career in Finance.
  • Five GCSE's grades 9-4 (A*- C) including Math's, English and a Science or Level 2 Apprenticeship.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Software including Excel.
  • Has good numerical and analytical skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy.

An opportunity for a Finance Analyst to join our London team, supporting the FP&A finance team in a commercial-focused finance role to help drive performance and growth within the Content Group.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
+ Assist with deal evaluations to support deal approvals and board submissions
+ Support budgeting and tracking of marketing and operational spend
+ Contribute to monthly forecasting and month-end and quarterly close processes
+ Help prepare performance reporting for senior management

**Purpose of the job**
The role is to provide financial leadership of the EMEA region of the Global Account. Ensuring countries have appropriate and adequate financial management and controls to meet all Client and CBRE requirements.
As a key member of the finance team, you will actively drive the region to ensure it meets the targets set and our sustainable growth through exceptional Client service agenda and Business Partnering.
The key responsibility of the position is to provide strategic and financial leadership to the EMEA Finance Director, Business lines and to the Global Finance Director. The role requires exceptional Client-facing skills whilst balancing the demands of corporate responsibilities including monthly management reporting, forecasts, planning cycles and SOX controls for the Account.
Working within the financial contractual requirements and meeting all deadlines will be a key deliverable of the role.
The role will cover the EMEA region, currently comprised of 11 countries (24 sites).
**Responsibilities and daily activities:**
· Developing high quality and effective Client relationships in the region.
· Build good working relationships with account management and key client's members and be a business partner for both.
· Tightly manage contract governance, demonstrating an in-depth knowledge of the terms and conditions of the contract to ensure that all cost elements are appropriately accounted for.
· Assist with client team requests in a timely and accurate manner.
· Positively respond to both our internal and external customers (often in a matrix environment) through effective communication and personal accessibility/credibility.
· Support FM and Regional Directors
· Delivery of the region's client budget and regular forecasts, working closely with operations teams (challenging them, as appropriate) to ensure full understanding and high degree of accuracy.
· Responsible for accurate reports in line with monthly timetable including full Profit & Loss account with analysis and commentary, Balance Sheet reconciliations, forecasts and annual plans. Where these are managed by central CBRE platform finance team, ensure full understanding and overall ownership of postings made on behalf of the account.
· Further liaising with the CBRE Finance and GWS Platform local Finance teams to fulfill any ad-hoc information requests, including audit query resolution.
· Provide ad-hoc support and financial analysis as required.
· Ensuring delivery of region's corporate budget/targets.
· Ensure timely invoicing and management of AR through PowerBI, ensuring it accurately reflects the region's AR position. Driving actions to ensure any overdue are settled by the client promptly.
· Identify and help drive implementation of savings opportunities to ensure Client is achieving best value for money.
· Active management of overheads whilst seeking out areas for efficiencies for savings.
· Attend monthly formal Corporate P&L and Balance sheet reviews, ensuring full understanding with variance analysis.
· Constantly improve quality, service and efficiency within the region.
· Communicate regularly with operations team to ensure they are fully informed of operational objectives and achievements.
· Support in any client related audits.
**Qualifications and Skills:**
· Hold a Chartered Accountant qualification (or equivalent)
· Highly computer literate
· Ability to combine strategic vision with hands-on, pragmatic delivery.
· IT Skills to achieve key tasks and give the business a sound reporting base.
· Superior written and verbal communication skills with strong oral presentation skills
· Capable of working in a matrix environment
· Worked in a complex multinational environment (3-5 years) with hands on experience in managing teams across countries (applicable for Global Accounts)

**POSITION SUMMARY**
The role of the Finance Supervisor is to assist the Assistant Director of Finance and Director of Finance with the day-to-day operation of the Finance / Accounting department. Technical responsibilities encompass overseeing the Income Audit, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable & the General Cashier functions. In addition, the Finance Supervisor will ensure that all months end related General Ledger activity including Bank Reconciliations & Balance Sheet reconciliations are completed according to period end requirements.
**SCOPE/ BUSINESS CONTEXT**
+ A Full-Time position based at the Marriott Canary Wharf Hotel and Executive Apartments.
+ Number of Direct Reports - 0 (reports to be reassessed post initial 6-month review)
+ Titles of Direct Reports - as above
**SPECIFIC DUTIES:**
+ Supervise the overall functions of Income Audit, ensuring accurate daily Gross Revenue Report's (GRR's), leading to authentic Profit & Loss statements are prepared to a timely schedule. Daily review of FIAT and ensure compliance.
+ Supervise the Accounts Payable function in the processing of all invoices for goods received/bought by the Hotel & Executive Apartments, functions to include the following:
1. Ensure that all invoices are addressed to the correct legal entity
2. All invoices are to be accompanied by a valid and approved Birchstreet purchase order
3. Establishing new Creditors in the Peoplesoft G/L as & when necessary
4. Maintenance of the Fixed Cost register
5. Invoices to be sense checked for correct VAT registration details & VAT analysis
6. Posting of Expense reports into PEOPLESOFT
7. Posting of all Miscellaneous, Food & Beverage invoices
8. Reconciling Vendor statement to ensure that outstanding suppliers are paid in a timely manner thereby minimising the risk of financial exposure to the hotel
+ Supervise functions within the General Cashier area and assist in the solution of any problems which may arise.
+ Supervise the Accounts Receivable function, with relevance to credit control.
+ Generally, supervise the day-to-day functions of the Finance Office, except Payroll.
+ Assist the Assistant Director of Finance (ADOF) and the Director of Finance (DOF) in any other functions as requested and to deputise for the ADOF in his/her absence.
+ Responsible for ensuring that all guest queries are dealt with the members of the Finance / Accounting office in a timely manner.
+ Ensure Cash Deposit Verification is reviewed and checked on a daily basis.
+ Ensure that the Bank Reconciliation is completed with a particular emphasis on ensuring the daily receipts and payments are reviewed.
+ Verify all Marriott Bonvoy certificates against the invoices and make sure the rates are correct.
+ Monitor all 'P' accounts in Guest Ledger on a daily basis working closely with the Finance Assistants, Front Office team & Event Management to ensure accounts are current, all postings are correct, the correct rates are charged and relevant back up is obtained on a weekly basis.
+ Assist the Finance Assistant to prepare and send invoices for guests / groups if needed.
+ Allocate payments received (BACS, City Ledger cheques) against respective accounts or as advance deposits on receipt in the absence of the Finance Assistant.
+ Assisting the Finance Assistant to investigate and resolve all credit card queries and actual charge backs and check the charges and the validity of the credit card against the posting.
+ Work closely with the Sales/Event Managers in ensuring that group master accounts are properly set up and that group deposits are received on time and promptly posted to the group master.
+ Assisting the Finance Assistant in preparing for the monthly credit meeting.
**OTHERS**
+ Performs other related tasks as assigned by management.
+ Complies with Marriott International Hotels Limited Regional Office policies and procedures.
+ Working hours as required to do your job but normally not less than 40 hours per week.
**MONTHLY RESPONSIBILITIES:**
+ On the first day of the following month, ensure all accruals/accounts to be completed.
+ Ensure all Income Audit functions have been completed accurately.
+ Review and clear all 'P' accounts if applicable.
+ Ensure all City Ledger payments are posted. Check with ADOF to ensure postings are in balance.
+ On the first day of every month, print all relevant month-end reports from Opera A/R.
+ Travel Agency commissions should be calculated at the end of each month.
+ Reconcile Cash Clearing
+ On the 1st of each month, complete the monthly aging report, calculating the DCSO days and providing an explanation for all accounts over 60 days outstanding. The following AR aging details should be forwarded to the ADOF.
**EXPERIENCE:**
+ Previous experience working within a self accounting hotel in the following disciplines is desirable:
+ Income Audit
+ Accounts Receivable / Credit Control
+ Accounts Payable
+ General Cashier
+ Cost Controller
**SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE**
+ Must possess a high degree of numerical literacy
+ Proven analytical skills
+ Must possess the ability to problem solve

+ Able to work alone and within a team
+ Flexibility of hours due to period end requirements
**PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS**
Education: Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Degree.
