Key Responsibilities:
- Process accounts payable and receivable following our financial procedures.
- Assist in maintaining robust financial control and provide valuable advice to HR and finance teams.
- Attend important meetings, such as the VRM panel, to offer background insights when needed.
- Conduct thorough quality assurance on data, carrying out research to clarify changes.
- Maintain the integrity of organisational structure data in our computerised systems.
- Develop strong working relationships with managers, HR, and Finance colleagues, keeping updated on proposed changes.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for the creation of new organisational units and address inquiries effectively.
- Monitor police establishments for accurate recording and highlight discrepancies as needed.
- Support various accounting and establishment activities to aid in financial management.
What We're Looking For:
A good standard of general education with at least 5 GCSE passes, including Maths and English, or equivalent experience.
Experience in a Support Services environment, delivering high-quality, customer-focused services.
Strong communication skills, capable of engaging at all levels.
Ability to meet deadlines, prioritise workloads, and work independently.
Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy.
Analytical and problem-solving skills.

The role:
You will build and lead a modern finance function, partner the CEO and board on strategy, and stay close to the numbers. This is ideal for a Finance Director ready to step into a CFO role who enjoys shaping strategy, improving performance and asking the difficult questions.
• Own budgets, rolling forecasts and monthly reporting
• Build investor ready financial models and board packs that link operational drivers to revenue, margin and cash
• Lead FP&A as a strategic engine: pricing analysis, unit economics, cohort and retention analysis, sales funnel and conversion insight, customer and product profitability, ROI on projects and hires
• Challenge assumptions across the plan and hold teams to account on targets, cost discipline and capital allocation
• Strengthen controls, processes and automation across finance systems to support scale
• Develop and mentor a capable team that can grow with the business
• Manage auditors, banks and prospective investors
The candidate:
• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified. Big 4 training is advantageous
• Deep FP&A and commercial finance experience, comfortable translating data into clear choices and trade-offs is essential
• A record of challenging legacy processes, resetting KPIs and improving forecasting accuracy and cash performance
• Experience in high growth settings. Logistics or SaaS exposure is a strong plus
• Credibility with CEOs and boards, confident communicator who can influence and constructively challenge
• Ambition to progress to CFO within 18 to 24 months
