Leading National transport organisation providing travel services throughout the UK.
Your new role
As Financial Accounting Manager, you will be leading a team of two accountants, reviewing key balance sheet reconciliations, supporting cash flow and balance sheet forecasting, and assisting with statutory reporting for the organisation. This includes oversight of VAT and corporation tax returns, and ensuring robust controls across cash management, accounts payable, and receivable.
Please note, this role is maternity cover and will be a 12month FTC.
What you'll need to succeed
- t
- You will be a fully qualified Accountant (CIPFA/ACA/CIMA/ACCA Level) with relevant experience in a similar role and a background in large, complex organisations (Shared Services preferably). t
- Extensive experience with balance sheet reconciliations, supporting with the balance sheet and cashflow budgeting/forecast process. t
- CAPEX business partnering experience would also be beneficial in this role. t
- You will have significant experience supporting statutory accounting, including, but not limited to, reviewing VAT returns, and ensuring the correct control processes for cash and banking, accounts payable and accounts receivable activities. t
- You will be an excellent communicator and team player with experience of line managing a small team. t
- Public sector or mixed sector experience is desirable for this role but not essential.
