We are looking for an accomplished ex-CFO/ Finance Director who has enjoyed success heading up finance functions within SME tour operation businesses and who now splits their time on a consultancy basis to share their experience and expertise with this ambitious Luxury Tour Operator. Daily Rate. London Office.
Financial Consultant tasked with:
- Meeting with the Founder and Senior Leadership Team monthly/bi-monthly in their London office.
- Micro and Macro financial strategy creation.
- Analysis of financial processes, systems and controls to seek and identify where improvements can be implemented.
- Forensic inquiry into areas such as the maintenance of financial records, budget preparation and monthly reporting.
- Granular observation into transactional functions, sales ledger, purchase ledger, payroll, cash posting and all general ledger entries, handling of VAT, PAYE and Tax duties, including corporation tax, liaison with auditors and preparation of audit packs
Financial Consultant Experience and Skills required:
- Senior Financial Experience from the Travel industry is crucial, ideally will have spent time as part of a young entrepreneurial business and have played a key part in its exponential growth.
- ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent
- Good understanding of tax
- Must be a highly strategic thinker
- Strong staff management background
