We are currently recruiting for a FireRisk Assessment Trainer. You will be delivering fire risk assessment training programmes delivered both in person and online. All programmes are designed so you will be responsible for all delivery and post training assessing.
This is a full time opportunity and will require travel across the UK. Training programmes typically run for 4-5 days,therefore you will need to be flexible with Sunday travel and overnight stays - all of which you will be reimbursed for, where they are not delivered online.
Y our responsibilities:
- Deliver training in accordance with company curriculum and following standard procedures.
- Conduct engaging training sessions for all delegates and provide feedback to the training lead.
- Collaborate with management to update course designs.
- Maintain accurate records of training sessions, attendance, and assessments.
- Stay updated on industry standards, regulations, and emerging trends in workplace safety.
- Support delegates with assessment preparation and post assessment evaluation.
Requirements
- Fire Risk Assessment qualification and experience in the field.
- Experience in system design and the ability to build effective training programmes.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Level 3 assessor qualification, Level 3 or above in education and training.
- Proven experience of practical fire risk assessment and report writing - level 4 or above.
A car allowanceis provided for this role and you will need to hold a full UK driving licence.

What will you be doing?

- Opportunity to be trained in other disciplines such as Pseudomonas & scalding assessments.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience working as a Legionella Risk Assessor.
- Must hold a Full UK Driving Licence.
- Enhanced DBS (preferred but we can arrange).
- Experience of working within hospitals and healthcare (to HTM04-01) would be advantageous (but can otherwise be trained).
- Experience of working with cooling towers would be advantageous (but can otherwise be trained).

Stonewater are seeking a Fire Safety Officer (known internally as Fire Safety Business Partner) – someone to provide technical advice and assurance regarding the fire safety of our residential and commercial properties.
As our Fire Safety Officer, you will undertake desk top reviews of proposed new build and refurbishment schemes and provide commentary and recommendations regarding design standards and specifications. You will review resident alteration requests to ensure that proposals do not enhance the risk from fire within the dwelling or the building as a whole and undertake fire safety assurance audits across the residential building stock to ensure fire safety risks are being robustly managed.
Reporting to the Head of Fire & Building Safety, you will visit sites and undertake door and compartmentation surveys to specify works, audit and maintain the contents of secure information boxes where installed in 11-18m blocks of flats, within your allocated operational area, ensure fire evacuation strategies for blocks of flats are documented and undertake emergency evacuation statements for customer who require them.
The ideal candidate will:
- Be a member of the IFE at Graduate grade (or higher). li>Hold a Level 4 qualification in fire safety management, risk assessment or engineering. (Those with a Level 3 qualification but hold Associate membership or full member status, with relevant experience in a similar role will also be considered).
- Hold a fire door inspection and passive fire inspector qualification (training will be provided)
- Have demonstrable experience of working within a social housing organisation in a similar role.
- Be able to demonstrate detailed knowledge regarding fire safety statutory instruments, British Standards and Sector guidance.
- Be able to demonstrate an understanding of building pathology.
- Understand The Building Safety Act and Social Housing Act.
- Understand JCT and other contract forms.
- Have experience of carrying out site inspection and audits to monitor change and ensure the quality of delivery.
- Be able to communicate effectively at all levels and produce coherent, written documentation.
- Be able to translate technical content for non-technical stakeholders in an informative and engaging way.
- Be able to work effectively in partnership with multi-disciplinary teams and external stakeholders.
- Be able to monitor and coordinate key programmes of work.
Appointment to this role will be subject to a satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service Check, satisfactory references and possession of a valid Right to Work document.
