The Global Fixed Income team at Nuveen is looking to hire a Fixed Income Trader to expand their existing London team as they build out their additional global product offerings.
This role will focus on trading European Corporate and Government bond markets in addition to select Emerging Markets and the associated FX for a Global Bond ETF product. This will require a strong understanding of fixed income markets and trading protocols as well as knowledge of ETF product construction. Knowledge, Skills, Experience & Qualifications
- Core Development Languages covering .Net Core, C#
- Experience in financial industry is preferred
- Strong numerical and financial skills with the ability to interpret financial information and able to design and use of financial models
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to handle communications at all levels from across the whole business, including Front Office.
- Hands-on experience with automated testing environments and CI/CD
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or similar

**Role Overview:**
The EMEA Repo Trading Middle Office Head - VP will report to the Global Repo Trading Middle Office Head. The successful candidate will oversee a team of 3 Belfast based employees and 4 offshore employees, who perform Trade & Lifecycle Management, Front to Back Reconciliations and Exception management in support of the Finance Desk's activity.
**What you'll do**
Function as key escalation point and face off to London based Finance Desk whilst working closely with each of the broader operational components that support both businesses that are co-located in our Belfast location to ensure a seamless front to back process and service offering.
The Candidate's primary objectives will be to:
+ Direct supervision of groups daily processes & front to back controls, checklists, and Control Dashboards
+ Oversee timely and successful deal closing and final settlement functions by performing Supervisory review / sign off as part key Manual Payment Processing controls.
+ Oversee other key areas of Control spanning Regulatory filing, Exceptions & Monitoring and MCA Completeness.
+ Represent the group in key strategic initiatives which reduce Operational Touchpoints thus reducing processing and payment risk.
**Organizational Oversight:**
+ Supervision of the groups daily core operations, championing a proactive culture and environment where processes, risks & controls are monitored continuously, and potential risks escalated on a timely basis.
**Stakeholder Engagement:**
+ Face off with Business, Technology and Operations as an Escalation point for EMEA Repo Trading Middle Office Group.
**People Agenda:**
+ Oversee development and cross training of the group, using depth chart / heatmaps and development plans to ensure appropriate continuity of Business and Succession plans.
+ Coaching and mentoring our People. Ensuring effective one to one discussion. Providing direction, feedback, support, and encouragement for career development
**Organizational Transformation:**
+ Partnering with business, Tech, Ops and Finance Stakeholder during re-engineering initiatives to strengthen the Buffalo teams process and reduce manual processing risk.
**Qualifications and Skills:**
+ Previous experience in Tier 1 global financial institutions with strong people management experience within Operations.
