About the Role
Arden White Aerospace and Aviation Recruitment are currently working with a leading and reputable organisation seeking to recruit an experienced Air Traffic Control Officer (ATCO) with competence in both ADI and APP unit endorsements .
This role offers the chance to manage a varied mix of traffic within Class G airspace – a challenging yet rewarding environment where no two days are the same. You’ll be part of a dedicated team ensuring the safe, orderly, and expeditious flow of air traffic, while also contributing to the continuous improvement and growth of the airport’s operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain the required competence level in both ADI and APP functions.
- Retain and apply local theoretical knowledge in line with unit procedures and CAA regulations.
- Plan and predict complex three-dimensional traffic scenarios safely and effectively.
- Analyse controlling actions for safety and effectiveness, adapting quickly to an ever-changing environment.
- Make tactical decisions under pressure and take accountability for outcomes.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues, management, and external stakeholders.
- Support, motivate, and collaborate with colleagues to ensure smooth operations.
- Uphold high safety standards in accordance with the safety management system.
Skills & Experience Required
Essential:
- Competence from a previous ATC unit.
- Valid UK CAA Licence with ADI and APP unit endorsements .
- Valid CAA UK Class 3 Medical Certificate .
- ATCO Level 6 ELP Certificate.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
- PC literacy.
- Ability to pass a Criminal Record Check and provide a five-year work/academic history.
Desirable:
- Meteorological observer’s certificate.
- OJTI and/or Assessor rating.
- Previous managerial experience in an ATC unit.
