In this role you will be given
- Real autonomy in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

About the Role
As a key member of the site’s Technical Team, you will be responsible for the creation and maintenance of both external customer product specifications and internal packaging specifications. You’ll play a vital role in managing artwork and packaging standards, supporting new and existing product development, and ensuring all products meet the highest standards of safety, legality, and quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Take full ownership of customer and internal product specifications, ensuring compliance with retailer Codes of Practice.
- Manage and approve retail product artwork, ensuring legal labelling compliance and material suitability.
- Support new product development (NPD) and existing product development (EPD) activities, including product trials and sampling.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to deliver projects in line with critical paths.
- Participate in HACCP, TACCP, and VACCP teams to ensure product safety and vulnerability hazards are controlled.
- Support external and customer audits, and champion continuous improvement initiatives.
- Promote a safety-first culture and support health & safety programmes on site.
About You
- Preferably degree-qualified in a food science-related field.
- HACCP Level 3 certified.
- Experience with retailer specification portals and artwork approval processes.
- Strong knowledge of food safety legislation, labelling codes, and regulatory requirements (UK/EU).
- At least 2 years’ experience in the Food & Beverage industry, specifically around product specifications.
- Excellent communication, decision-making, and organisational skills.
- Proficient in MS Office and data analysis.
- Customer-focused, self-motivated, and able to work independently with a high sense of urgency.
- Passionate about quality, detail-oriented, and innovative in approach.

We are currently looking for a Quality Managers at our site in Selsey, West Sussex. You will ensure successful management of the quality and technical functions, including food safety, legal compliance, and adherence to relevant quality-related standards, as well as the delivery of product specifications. You will collaborate with a variety of people at all levels, including managers, colleagues, customers, and suppliers, to deliver great products of the highest quality.
Panama shift pattern 12-hour days only (7am-7pm). Responsible for 1 shift rotation, with every other weekend off, working closely with the opposite quality manager on shift to share the workload to enable a level of factory focus with the freedom to make the role your own, driving the quality focus within the factory making us the best at fresh!

Responsibilities
- Technical food safety, quality standards and ensuring customer COPs are implemented and adhered to in our factories
- Conducting regular factory walks throughout the working day to assess food safety and GMP standards. Working closely with key stakeholders to promptly resolving and closing out any issues identified
- Ensuring timely and accurate resolution of customer complaints by collaborating closely with key stakeholders to provide a comprehensive response
- Investigating and compiling reports on all customer and BRC audit non-conformance reports (NCRs) to assist the Technical Manager in responding

- Direct Management of team of QA Team Leaders. Overall management responsibility for the QA/QC functions
- Manage and prepare for Customer audits
- Ensuring our teams have a safe place to work through risk assessment, training, inspections and performance reviews
- Coaching, mentoring and developing team members and wider stakeholder functions
- Ensure all Nutritional & Shelf-life schedules are kept up to date and accurate in line will product variation additions and removed
