Job Description
Quality Assurance Technologist
(Food Manufacturing)
Monday to Friday, Day Shift
Some QA jobs feel like you’re constantly nagging production to do the right thing. This isn’t that.
Here, you’ll be part of a site that very much values its Quality team — where you’ll have a say in how things run, where audits aren’t seen as a nuisance, and where “continuous improvement” certainly means something.
This role is about working with production, not against it. You’ll be the person keeping things audit-ready, running testing schedules, helping solve problems, and improving standards across the site. The team’s tight-knit, and you’ll have proper variety in your day — no hiding behind a clipboard.
What you’ll be doing:
- Managing product, allergen, and environmental testing schedules — and dealing with any out-of-specs before they turn into issues
- Supporting external audits and leading internal ones
- Working with production and technical to make sure food safety and quality standards look good, on paper and off it
- Running with corrective and preventative actions, training, and investigations
- Maintaining records, spotting trends, and helping drive site improvement projects
- Getting involved in meetings and quality initiatives across the wider business
What you’ll need:
- Experience in food manufacturing, ideally within Quality or Technical
- HACCP and Food Safety qualifications
- Knowledge of BRCGS standards and experience with audits
- Ideally degree qualified in Food Science, Microbiology or something similar
- Organised, thorough, good communicator, and someone who can get things done without winding everyone up in the process
This is a role for someone who enjoys variety — one day you’ll be investigating a lab result, the next preparing for an audit or helping the team solve a production issue. You’ll be surrounded by people who care about doing things properly and take pride in the products they make.
If you’re ready to join a business that’s growing, values quality, and gives you the freedom to actually make a difference, hit apply.
Please apply with an up to date copy of your CV. Unfortunately at this time our client cannot offer sponsorship. If you would like a conversation to hear more about this position, please call (phone number removed) and ask for Sam.
