You will work closely with software engineers to ensure seamless hardware-software co-design and optimization.

Key duties involve defining system architecture, selecting appropriate FPGA devices and development tools, and developing robust, efficient, and synthesizable HDL code. You will also be responsible for creating comprehensive test benches, performing thorough functional and timing verification, and troubleshooting any issues that arise during the design and implementation phases. Collaboration is key; you'll engage with cross-functional teams, including product management and other engineering disciplines, to understand requirements and deliver high-quality products.

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field, coupled with a minimum of 5-7 years of professional experience in embedded systems development, with at least 3 years specifically in FPGA design. Proven proficiency in VHDL or Verilog, along with experience in Xilinx or Intel FPGA development environments (e.g., Vivado, Quartus) is essential. Familiarity with embedded C/C++, ARM processors, and bus protocols like PCIe, AXI, or Ethernet is highly desirable. Excellent problem-solving skills, a proactive approach to innovation, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote setting are crucial. You will be working on projects that push the boundaries of technology, requiring a deep understanding of digital logic design, signal processing, and real-time operating systems. The ability to document designs clearly and maintain version control is also a prerequisite. We are looking for a passionate engineer who thrives in a dynamic, remote-first environment and is eager to contribute to groundbreaking projects. This role is based in **Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, UK** but is fully remote, offering flexibility and a truly global outlook.
