Prospect Training Services (PTS) is one of the region’s leading providers who support young people and adults who are looking to either re-join or engage with the employment market for the first time.
This role will form part of the RESTART Programme which will provide intensive and tailored support to over 1 million unemployed people in England and Wales and help them find work.
We are currently seeking talented individuals to join our team of Employment Advisors working from our Cheltenham office at Eagle Tower. The role will involve supporting a caseload of around 65 clients who have been referred from local job centres. As their Employment advisor you will spend time with the clients on a 121 basis to identify and support them to find sustainable employment
If you have excellent customer service skills, are target driven as well as a motivational adviser who can build positive relationships, guide, inspire, and encourage individuals to find suitable employment then please get in touch. You will have a high level of initiative and motivation with the ability to seek out solutions to problems, and be able to work under pressure, without day-to-day supervision.
Key Responsibilities
- Meet, and strive to exceed, personal performance targets (Key Performance Indicators).
- li> Progressively manage a caseload of referred customers using a variety of appropriate strategies to help them overcome barriers to gaining employment.
· Deliver a positive experience to new customers, ensuring they engage with you and the programme and maintain regular contact as their journey develops, ensuring you are on hand to help with issues and questions as they arise
- acilitate a range of assessments, using a suite of tools, to fully understand a customer’s personal circumstances, ambitions and goals and co-produce personalised tailored Action Plans featuring SMART targeting to enable positive and timely progression. < i>Provide tailored support in all aspects of job-search and interview preparation to ensure that customers are matched to the right job that enables them to sustain employment.
- Where required, provide appropriate training/guidance to customers to help them master digital technologies, for them to engage in guided self-service learning materials and online job vacancies.
- Fully understand the local labour market, to source suitable job opportunities.
Skills and Experience
Essential
- A good working knowledge of the local labour market in the specified geographical locations (Gloucestershire)
- Previous experience working in the recruitment or training and education sector.
- Experience of working in a target driven environment.
- Full driving license to enable deployment across a specified geographical area (region), when required.
- GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths at Grade C or above
- Experience of providing employment support or guidance to others.
- Fully IT literate in using a range of Microsoft Office programmes to include 365 products and modern digital technologies, i.e. Microsoft Teams and Skype for Business.
Desirable
- Knowledge of the employability industry
- Experience of working with people in the provision of ‘information, advice & guidance
