About the role

This is a pivotal role within the Product & Tech team, driving the evolution of our B2C platform. You’ll be working across the stack to deliver seamless, performant, and scalable user experiences that simplify healthcare and improve lives. Our platform serves thousands of users, and your work will directly impact their experience. 
 
At HealthHero, developers own the entire software development lifecycle—from refining business requirements to design, development, deployment, monitoring, and continuous support. This end-to-end ownership empowers our engineers to contribute meaningfully to the business and fosters a collaborative, silo-free environment. 
We encourage participation in cross-tribe guilds (e.g. architecture, data) and knowledge-sharing sessions. You’ll also mentor team members and grow both your technical and leadership skills. 

Day to day, your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Deliver efficient, stable, and scalable full stack software systems using Next.js 
  • Build and maintain server-side rendered and statically generated pages 
  • Develop and integrate RESTful and GraphQL APIs 
  • Work closely with Technical Leads and Product Owners to deliver business value 
  • Champion HealthHero values and contribute to the continued success of the organisation 
  • Ensure high performance and responsiveness of the B2C platform 
  • Implement secure, accessible, and user-friendly interfaces 

What you will bring:

  • Experience with building enterprise level applications with React and Next.js
  • Strong understanding of Typescript 
  • Strong understanding of Javascript fundamentals including asynchronous programming and error handling.
  • Familiarity with server-side rendering and API development 
  • Knowledge of UX principles including accessibility
  • Exposure to automated E2E testing (e.g. Playwright / Cypress)
  • Understanding of authentication and authorization (e.g. OAuth, JWT)
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and cloud platforms (e.g. Vercel, GitLab, Azure)
  • Ability to collaborate well with others, including pair programming
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams to deliver on a common goal
  • Experience working in Agile software development processes
