Our client is a busy distribution centre that is reliant on a speedy turnaround of goods coming in and then out again very quickly. We are looking for reliable, energetic people to help keep things moving. If you like being on your feet, working as part of a team, and getting stuck in - we want to hear from you.
The Job Role
You will not always be working in the same location of the warehouse as there are constant demands in different areas, from packing, order picking, general cleaning, stock takes and stock replenishment.
A lot of the role will be repetitive and you will be working on your feet for the duration of the shift. However you will need to be flexible in the role you do as they require all warehouse operatives, to work all areas and follow instruction and simple methods.
- Receive orders from suppliers and bundle them up into orders ready for dispatch to thousands of suppliers in the UK.
- loading/unloading rollers with magazines and binding them together, labelling and despatching out
- Packing & Picking materials into small boxes and bigger outer boxes daily, at a fast-paced speed
- Labelling parcels ready to be despatched the same working day
- Loading goods onto vehicles maximum weight can be up to 5kg so please consider this.
- Checking stock via computers.
- Receive, check, and store incoming deliveries
- Use handheld scanners and follow warehouse systems
- Maintain cleanliness and order across the warehouse
- Follow health & safety and manual handling procedures at all times
- Completing paperwork accurately
- Keeping the warehouse clean & safe
- Working as part of a friendly team
What We're Looking For:
- Experience in a warehouse or distribution environment (desirable but not essential)
- A strong work ethic and team spirit
- Hardworking, punctual and reliable
- Ability to work in a fast-paced setting with accuracy and attention to detail
- Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling (some lifting involved)
- Flexibility with shift patterns and overtime when required
- Must be able to work full time across 5 days a week 37.5 hour a week.
