We are seeking motivated individuals to join a leading international manufacturing company as Furnace Operators . This is a physically demanding role that requires strength, endurance and attention to safety.
As a key member of the factory team, you will be involved in:
- Operating and monitoring industrial furnaces in a manufacturing environment. li>Loading and unloading heavy materials and products.
- Ensuring all products meet stringent quality standards and customer timelines.
- Adhering to health and safety regulations.
Full training will be provided to help you excel in your role.
What We're Looking For:
- Familiarity with machine operations and factory settings.
- Good physical strength and stamina – this role involves heavy lifting and standing for long periods < i>Willingness to work in high-temperature environments.
- Strong work ethic with excellent attendance and timekeeping.
- Good communication skills.
- A keen eye for detail and the ability to work well within a team.
- Willingness to learn and develop new skills.
Shift Pattern – Weekly Alternating:
Week 1:
- < i>Mon–Thurs: 6:00am–2:00pm
Week 2:
- < i>Mon–Thurs: 2:00pm–10:00pm
Pay Rate:
£13.26 per hour

About the Role
Wolviston Management Services are delighted to be supporting our client in the search for an experienced Industrial Boiler & Furnace Maintenance Engineer. This is a specialist role for an individual with strong expertise in industrial steam systems and a BOAS qualification, ideally complemented by furnace maintenance knowledge.
This position plays a key part in maintaining and optimising critical plant equipment, ensuring the safe, efficient and reliable operation of pressurised steam cooling systems, boilers, and furnace infrastructure. The role offers variety, technical challenge, and the opportunity to work within a high-performing industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the operation, inspection, and maintenance of industrial boilers, pressurised steam cooling systems, and associated plant
- Conduct fault-finding, diagnostics, and repairs on boiler systems to minimise downtime
- Monitor and manage gas supply systems linked to furnace operations, ensuring safe and compliant performance
- Carry out preventative and reactive maintenance on furnaces and associated infrastructure (where applicable)
- Ensure compliance with all relevant safety standards, statutory regulations, and environmental requirements
- Maintain accurate maintenance and inspection records using the site's maintenance management systems
- Collaborate with operational teams to optimise plant performance and energy efficiency
- Provide technical guidance and support for projects, upgrades, and system improvements
To succeed in this role, you will need to be a skilled and safety-conscious engineer with:
- A valid BOAS qualification (essential)
- Proven experience in the operation and maintenance of industrial boiler systems
- Knowledge of pressurised steam systems and industrial plant safety standards
- Ideally, experience with furnace maintenance and gas supply systems in a heavy industrial environment
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure in a time-critical environment
- Excellent communication and record-keeping abilities
- A commitment to continuous improvement and safe working practices
- Work on technically challenging, high-value plant equipment
