This is a full-time role at 40 hours per week, requiring office hours from 08:30 to 17:00, Monday to Friday.
This is an in-person, office-based role, at their design and manufacturing site in West Yorkshire.
The nature of the role requires commitment to hit weekly deadlines to satisfy client drawing approval submissions and production drawing targets.
This vacancy is for an experienced Furniture Designer with the following skills:
A minimum of 5 years’ experience in producing detailed technical drawings of bespoke furniture for manufacture.
5+ years of Solidworks experience.
A strong understanding of furniture production methods and materials including veneers, laminates, solid surface materials, metalwork, and upholstery.
A strong ability to keep organized with information across several items simultaneously.
Be an open and conscientious team player – listening to others’ advice and experience and taking it on board.
Driven to be thorough and accurate, consistently.
Good communication skills both in the form of updating managers and project leads, as well as sketching or modeling to communicate design ideas/details.
The key responsibility of the role is:
The efficient and accurate delivery of individual items of bespoke joinery, which fit into a wider design scheme; being mindful of client requirements, material costs, manufacturing capabilities, installation limitations, and drawing deadlines.
Other responsibilities include:
Generating clear and accurate approval and production drawings to the highest standards.
Carry out model reviews with workshop staff to agree and sign off design & details.
Researching and integrating components/fittings.
Producing a bill of materials/requisition to cover all materials and fittings on your item.
Generating and self-checking a cut list and corresponding drawing to be issued to the workshop for manufacture.
Consider site conditions and restrictions to inform design and buildability/assembly on site.

Our client manufactures bespoke furniture for high end clients, and are looking to grow theFurniture Spraying team. In this role you will apply Morrells using a HVLP spray gun, to MDF furniture. You will join a team consisting of 3 cabinet makers and 1 furniture sprayer. The factory is equipped with 2 spray booths, and all tools for the role would be provided.
Hours, 40 per week Monday to Thursday 7.30am to 4.15pm and Friday 7.30am to 2.30pm.
Furniture Sprayer Responsibilities:
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and masking as needed.
- Operate spray equipment to apply paint and coatings uniformly across different materials.
- Perform basic maintenance on spraying equipment to ensure optimal performance.

Maintain an organised workspace, ensuring that all materials are stored correctly and safely.

Your work will involve:
- Using AutoCAD for technical drawings and design work li>Facilitating the development of sign-off, setting out, procurement and production of furniture, including cabinetry, metal elements, stone elements and other custom materials and features
- Mechanical and electrical drawings and installation drawings to aid site trades
- Liaising with the design team and project managers
- Working with private clients, architects, developers and interior designers
- Occasional travel mostly to the showroom / studio in London and often to project sites, in order to attend meetings and to carry out site surveys and checks
Skills and Experience needed for the Furniture Designer:
- A good understanding of high-end custom furniture
- Minimum of 3 years' relevant work experience
