Our client is looking for a creative and user-centric UX/UI Designer with a passion for gamification to join their innovative digital team. This is a fully remote position, allowing you to contribute your design expertise from anywhere in the UK. You will be instrumental in crafting intuitive, engaging, and visually appealing user interfaces for a range of digital products, with a specific focus on integrating gamified elements to enhance user experience and drive engagement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and prototype user interfaces for web and mobile applications, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable user journey.
  • Develop wireframes, mockups, and high-fidelity prototypes that effectively communicate design concepts.
  • Conduct user research, usability testing, and A/B testing to gather feedback and inform design decisions.
  • Integrate gamification principles (e.g., points, badges, leaderboards, challenges) into user interfaces to increase motivation and retention.
  • Collaborate closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to translate requirements into user-friendly designs.
  • Create and maintain design systems and style guides to ensure consistency across all products.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest UX/UI design trends, tools, and technologies, particularly in the gamification space.
  • Articulate design rationale clearly and persuasively to team members and stakeholders.
  • Optimize existing user interfaces for improved usability and engagement.
  • Contribute to a culture of design excellence and user advocacy within the remote team.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a UX/UI Designer or similar role, with a strong portfolio showcasing gamified design work.
  • Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or InVision.
  • Solid understanding of user-centered design principles, interaction design, and information architecture.
  • Experience with gamification strategies and their application in digital products.
  • Familiarity with user research methodologies and usability testing.
  • Excellent visual design skills with a keen eye for detail and typography.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote, cross-functional team.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks efficiently.
  • Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is a plus.

Based in Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, UK (but fully remote), you will play a crucial role in crafting compelling narratives and immersive storylines for our upcoming AAA title. This position requires a deep understanding of interactive storytelling, exceptional writing prowess, and the ability to collaborate effectively within a virtual development environment. You will be responsible for developing character backstories, dialogue, in-game text, and overarching plot elements that captivate players and drive emotional engagement. This role is ideal for a seasoned writer with a passion for video games and a proven ability to bring virtual worlds to life through narrative.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and refine the overarching narrative structure, plot points, and thematic elements of the game.
  • Write high-quality, engaging dialogue for characters, ensuring distinct voices and motivations.
  • Create rich character backstories, lore, and world-building documentation to inform the game's universe.
  • Write in-game text, including quest descriptions, item lore, UI text, and tutorials, ensuring consistency and clarity.
  • Collaborate closely with level designers, artists, and other team members to integrate narrative seamlessly into gameplay mechanics and visual elements.
  • Translate gameplay objectives and mechanics into compelling narrative experiences.
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions and provide creative input on story development and character arcs.

Qualifications:
