We have several exciting opportunities for enthusiastic early-career hydrogeologists within our Energy & Resources Group in Warrington, Manchester, or Shrewsbury.
Our team provides hydrogeological, contaminated land, and ground engineering services to the energy and resources sector. We work holistically with diverse teams of specialists to provide high-quality, value-driven services that support energy transition, contribute to a range of local and national projects and frameworks, and support the development of critical infrastructure across the UK and Ireland.
In this role, you'll apply your expertise across various critical tasks. You will supervise field investigations essential for contaminated site and hydrogeology studies, encompassing drilling, well construction, testing oversight, groundwater sampling, and water level monitoring. Much of your contribution will be scoping, executing, interpreting, and reporting on aquifer tests, ensuring robust data collection and analysis. You'll also be responsible for preparing high-quality interpretive technical reports that communicate findings, and you'll provide vital hydrogeological assessment and modelling support to our senior team members.
**About You**
To be successful in this role, you will need the following:
+ A BSc or MSc degree in Hydrogeology, Environmental Engineering, Geology, or a related discipline.
+ Two to five years of experience conducting and reporting on site-based hydrogeological assessments, site investigations, and groundwater monitoring programmes and interpreting and reporting on soil, groundwater, and gas data.
+ A strong commitment to health, safety and environmental protection.
+ Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
+ Experience in contributing to or delivering Hydrogeological Risk Assessments and Hydrogeological Impact Assessments is not required, but is highly desirable.
+ Experience in numerical groundwater modelling, or geochemical modelling and hydrochemical analysis is not required but would also be advantageous.
+ You must be willing to travel to UK offices and project sites and hold a full, clean UK driving license.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Energy Billing Analyst to join a great team based in Leamingston Spa.

In this role, you will play a vital role in understanding and managing customers' energy costs requiring strong data analysis skills. You will collaborate with the invoice validation service, analyse and forecast costs associated with both fixed and flexible energy contracts, and provide excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer & Account Manager Support

  • Serve as the Bureau contact for customers, proactively capturing issues ahead of the client and coordinating updates with Account Managers and the external bureau team.
  • Hold direct conversations with customers to answer queries, provide updates, and explain market or billing information.
  • Build trusted relationships through clear, accurate, and professional communication.

Bill Validation Oversight

  • Monitor and stay fully informed on the status of bill validation carried out by the external partner.
  • Ensure customers and Account Managers are kept up to date on progress, outcomes, and any flagged discrepancies.
  • Coordinate with the external validator to resolve issues or escalate where necessary.

Market Awareness & Forecasting

  • Stay informed on current market rates and track newly announced rates (not yet live).
  • Communicate potential impacts of rate changes to customers and Account Managers.
  • Support decision-making with accurate, timely insights.

System Proficiency

  • Work confidently across the core systems to manage customer accounts.
  • Maintain accurate, consistent data across platforms to ensure smooth workflows.

Supplier & Industry Liaison

  • Communicate with suppliers to resolve data or account issues.
  • Track supplier responsiveness and escalate recurring issues as needed.

Analysis & Reporting

  • Provide reports on customer consumption, costs, and validation status.
  • Identify risks, opportunities, and areas requiring proactive communication.

Process Improvement

  • Spot gaps or inefficiencies in bureau processes.
  • Collaborate with the team to improve workflows, reporting, and communication.

Skills & Experience:

  • Knowledge of gas, power, or water industry processes, including supplier billing and account management.
  • Experience in bureau, energy operations, or customer account support.
  • Awareness of current and upcoming market rates and their impact on customer contracts.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ability to work across multiple systems.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with confidence to interact directly with customers and suppliers.
  • Customer service experience with a focus on professionalism and proactive updates.
  • Ability to manage priorities independently while working closely with Account Managers and team members.

We are currently seeking a Ground Engineer to join our Ground Engineering team in Warrington to work across our Energy Sector. We're looking for someone to help deliver our ground engineering services (geotechnical and geo-environmental) with a focus on the energy sector, deliver technical outputs and support the growth of our portfolio of energy projects.
You will play an important role within the team. You will plan and supervise ground investigations. You will prepare technical reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to clients and other stakeholders.
You will also have the opportunity to work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams including civil engineers, architects, and contractors throughout the project lifecycle. You will work within a collaborative team to deliver best value and client service excellence.

**About You**
You will be degree-qualified in a relevant engineering subject (e.g. geotechnical engineering, hydrogeology, geology or a related subject). You will have experience of supporting projects to assess ground conditions from planning and execution to data analysis and report writing, and will have a strong understanding of UK geology & geotechnical / geo-environmental principles.
