As a General Assistant, you will mainly be working front-of-house. You will support day-to-day operations by serving food and beverages to our customers, alongside till work, cleaning dining areas and supporting both front and back of house areas. You will provide excellent customer service and report to the General Manager on site.

A day in the life of a General Service Assistant
- You will be serving food and beverages to customers, ensuring all health and safety protocols are adhered to and excellent customer service is always provided.
- Stocking up, stock rotation, facing up, spot cleaning, cleaning dining and serving areas, both front and back of house.
- Operating the till and processing cash and card payments, ensuring you process any financial records accordingly. You will also be serving on the food counters and upselling products/sizes.
You will be set up for success if you have:
- Previous customer facing / food service experience is essential
- For this role you must be 18+
- Must have eligibility to work in the UK and have resided for longer than 3 years. Security checks are required for this role
- Must have reliable transport due to the location of the site and limited public transport.

We are recruiting a multi-purpose role to cover Kitchen and Domestic/ Housekeeper/ Laundry duties as and when required. To begin with, these are bank shifts to cover periods of holiday/sickness within the Kitchen Team and the Housekeeping Team. However, our intention is to make this a fixed contract role as soon as possible.
You will ideally be qualified with Basic Food Hygiene Certificate to level 2 or 3 but not essential. Experience working within Care Homes, Schools and Hotels/Guest Houses would be desirable but also not essential.
Key Tasks
- To maintain appropriate workflow in the kitchen by assuring prompt clearing and washing of dishes, crockery, pots and pans.
- To maintain a high standard of cleanliness within the kitchen, dining and storage areas & throughout the care home.
- To ensure all dining and Bistro areas are kept tidy, set up and well stocked with food, beverages, cutlery and crockery.
