We are pleased to be supporting one of our highly valued clients, a reputable education provider based in Wiltshire, to recruit for an Interim Governance Consultant. This is an interim assignment, starting ASAP for 6 months, paid at a competitive daily rate outside IR35. This is a hybrid position, with circa 1 day per week onsite.
We are looking for an experienced Clerk to the Governance/Governance Lead to provide advice, support and guidance to the Council on procedures and governance. This is an advisory, administrative and information management position. The focus of your role is to ensure that business is governed and managed with best practice in mind.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Provide Governance for Council and Committee meetings:
- Advise on regulatory framework
- Organise and attend meetings. This will include preparation of agenda, recording attendance, drafting minutes and following up on actions.
- Involvement in the recruitment of board members and overseeing inductions, recording conflicts of interest etc
To be considered for the role, you will have the following experience:
- Clerk to the Board/Council or Governance Lead position
- Experience/knowledge of legislation and governance
- Fantastic administrative skills
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Consultative or interim experience
- Education experience is preferred but essential
