What you'll do: *
The General Labourer / Groundworker is responsible for supporting Mobilisation, Excavation, and Reinstatement (MER) operations across a variety of geotechnical and construction projects. This role involves assisting MER Operatives with site preparation, excavation, material handling, and the reinstatement of excavated areas, ensuring work is performed efficiently and in compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Site Preparation and Mobilisation
- Assist with the mobilisation of equipment, tools, and materials to and from the site.
- Prepare worksites by clearing debris, marking out areas, and ensuring safe access for equipment and personnel.
- Set up barriers, signage, and traffic management systems as required. Excavation Support
- Support MER Operatives during excavation activities by handling tools, assisting with manual digging, and managing materials.
- Ensure the safe handling of excavated materials, segregating waste for disposal or reuse.
- Monitor excavation activities, identifying and reporting any safety or operational issues. Reinstatement Activities
- Assist in reinstating excavated areas to meet project specifications, including backfilling, compaction, and finishing.
- Operate basic tools and equipment, such as compactors, shovels, and wheelbarrows, to support reinstatement tasks.

Project Kuiper is launching a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world.
Have you ever wanted to become involved in the global rollout of satellite earth stations for a high-performance satellite constellation? We are looking for a Satellite Ground Technical Operations Engineer to join Project Kuiper's ground gateway terminal operations team. You will lead efforts to ensure high performance ground gateways are able to continuously serve our broadband customers by investigating faults and anomalies, both remotely and on-site at our gateway terminals. You will collaborate with other subject matter experts to develop the tools and procedures necessary to support this global endeavor.
This position may require access to information, technology, or hardware that is subject to export control laws and regulations, including the Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Employment in this position is contingent upon obtaining any required export licenses or other approvals from the United States government. As such, the successful candidate must be eligible to obtain any necessary export licenses or approvals based on their nationality, citizenship, and any other factors considered by the applicable export control regulations."

A day in the life
As a Gateway Terminal Technical Ops Engineer, you will provide both remote and on-site leadership to analyze, fix, and maintain our gateway antennas across the world. You will address tickets generated by our automated monitoring systems; providing critical feedback to dial in and improve our systems. You must be willing to travel (up to 50%) to our gateways in order to address physical problems and troubleshoot faults and anomalies. Your contributions will keep our systems capable of serving our customers. These systems provide mission critical communications with Kuiper satellites. Ground terminals include state of the art tracking antennas, modems, and innovative support systems.
About the team
The Ground Systems team is responsible for the architecture, design, build, installation, and operation of globally located Kuiper Ground and TTnC terminals. Our Ground Gateways enable high data rate, low latency communications between Kuiper points of presence and our Low Earth Orbit Satellite constellation. The team works closely with Ground Infrastructure Services, Networks, Regulatory, Payload Test, and RF Systems teams to ensure Kuiper provides a seamless customer experience.
Basic Qualifications
Experience working in satellite communications ground systems and operations
Work experience in design and commission of radio/mobile telecommunications/RAN installations or SATCOM earth stations.
Network integration experience in troubleshooting and on-site support.
Ability to solve problems at their root, stepping back to understand the broader context.
