Service Technicianposition available for an engineering company, paying a starting salary of 32,000 a year. On target earnings of up to 45,000 a year.
The service engineer for this company will be covering the areas of Manchester, Leeds, Sheffield, Newcastle and surrounding areas. Mobile service engineers will be responsible for checking over equipment and machinery in buildings and also basic checks on company vehicles. You will be working from checklists, to make sure the machinery is working properly, that there is no damage and there are no faults or issues. Maintenance may involve greasing or cleaning of parts, replacement of basic parts, checks of parts and equipment and then reporting major faults or work that needs doing.
We are looking for people who have mechanical and electrical understanding and experience. You will ideally be able to read electrical/mechanical drawings, and you must have a good use of hand and power tools. The ideal candidate could come from a service engineer, maintenance background, automotive background or have experience in maintaining, installing, or repairing industrial machinery.
A company vehicle and tooling will be provided. But you must have a full UK driving license, be willing to travel distances and occasionally stay away from home for short periods of time overnight.
