VP Hardware Engineering – Datacentre AI Acceleration

Our client is a highly ambitious early-stage venture developing advanced hardware systems for next generation AI Acceleration.

The company is looking to appoint an experienced engineering leader with a track record of taking highly complex processor (CPU/GPU/NPU) based systems from concept through to commercial production. The role, reporting to the CEO, will involve leading and growing a multidisciplined engineering team spanning: hardware, embedded systems, optics, software, mechanical and thermal design.

To be considered for this opportunity you will be able to demonstrate the following skills and industry background:

• Ideally 10 years’ experience in engineering leadership, with a strong technical background in system and board level design and development for Datacentre/ HPC integration.
• A proven track record of successfully delivering complex hardware products, ideally covering one or more of the following: Data Centre Servers, Complex Board Computers, GPU Platforms and/or Networking Adapter Cards,
• Project management experience in early-stage hardware prototyping through to commercial production via outsourced manufacturing.
• A strong track record of building and scaling engineering teams.
• Experience of implementing engineering processes and test & validation systems.
• Previous experience of operating in a fast-faced start-up environment.

You'll work with Python and C++ to solve operational problems directly alongside our customers, typically on-site 4 days per week. What You’ll Do

• Develop bespoke software solutions on embedded platforms (ESP32, Raspberry Pi, ARM).
• Write and maintain code in Python and/or C++, often interfacing directly with hardware.
