My Client, a complete solutions provider of Heavy Haulage services are recruiting a Routing Consultant , using your expert knowledge of transport and logistics solutions to investigate optimum haulage routes for practicality, safety, sustainability and cost benefits. As a Routing Consultant you will be responsible for delivering multimodal transport & logistics solutions both internally and for clients. Working closely with the Heavy Lift & Specialist Transport teams, you will provide an engineered and checked transport solution as per the specifications and restrictions.
The Role:
- Complete transport drawings as per the information supplied by the customer
- Search for and check feasibility of routes while taking into consideration the Policy.#
- Investigate and produce route feasibility studies for heavy haulage vehicles, to project deadlines for submission
- Produce on-site investigations to capture transport limitations, restrictions and risks
- Produce transport documentation/drawings.
- Carry out SweptPath Analysis
- Ensure all HSQE documentation is completed.
- Investigate and report on associated costs and profit margins
Key Skills:
- Significant experience within the heavy lift, haulage, transport industry
- Experience in route planning, including feasibility studies, investigation and documentation, ideally using any relevant software.
- Full UK driving license (B1)
- Strong IT skills, including MS Office and AutoCAD, (or equivalent)
- Strong awareness of HSQE regulations.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Engineering qualification, (or equivalent knowledge)
- Flexibility to accommodate regular UK travel to site with occasional nights away as required.
