About the Role

Reporting to the Chief Executive, you will lead NASC’s commercial growth strategy - driving membership recruitment, international expansion and revenue generation across our core products and services, including CISRS training and ScaffEx events. You will oversee a talented team spanning business development, marketing and events, strengthening NASC’s market presence and deepening engagement with members and other stakeholders. This is a pivotal, outward-facing role for a strategic leader who can build partnerships, shape propositions and ensure NASC remains commercially agile and influential within the scaffolding and access sector.

You will bring a proven track record in business development leadership, ideally within construction, engineering, or a related sector. The role of Head of Business Development & Commissioning is pivotal in the successful management of our core business activity, that's relating to our frontline services and children's placements. You'll lead a highly motivated team responsible for managing all placements activity, from generating referrals and managing key relationships with both referrers and funders, through to oversight of all placement-related matters, ensuring placements are managed to the highest standards. You'll also bring strategic focus, driving service development in line with the organisation's new strategy, broadening our reach and maximising income generating opportunities.

You will have the opportunity to develop and implement your expertise in an environment that is focused on the highest clinical and quality standards. You will work in a 24-acre site which is unusual in its beautiful historic nature, as it is unique in its state-of-the-art facilities including robotic technology and virtual reality.

Role Requirements

You will be a key member of the organisation's Operational Leadership Team (OLT), working alongside other heads of department, reporting to the Medical Director. You'll lead in the management of all core business activity, including reporting to and influencing senior leaders, both our Senior Leadership Team and Board of Trustees, as well as external stakeholders.
