Reporting to the Director of Development the post-holder will lead a team of development professionals to deliver insightful prospect research, manage systems for donor journeys and lead on excellent donor stewardship for the Development team. They will also manage the continuous improvement of the Development CRM and ensure that excellent income processing and reporting systems are in place. A key member of the Development Group’s Senior Leadership Team, the post-holder will work with colleague across the Museum to ensure that the NHM150 Campaign and major funding bids are aligned with • Build and schedule email campaigns across multiple product lines using Mailchimp, working with our graphic designer and content curator
• Collaborate with internal teams to gather content, develop messaging, and ensure brand consistency.
• Create and manage email journeys and automation where appropriate.
• Monitor campaign performance and provide insights for continuous improvement (open rates, CTR, conversions, etc.).
• Develop targeted email lists based on user behaviour, demographics, and engagement history.
Media & Advertising Coordination
• Research and evaluate relevant industry publications and media outlets.
• Coordinate the booking and delivery of advertising assets with media contacts.
• Maintain a media calendar and track performance of advertising spend.
CRM & Data Segmentation
• Support data-driven decision-making through campaign reporting and analysis.

What We’re Looking For
To be successful in this role, you must have:
Essential:
• Proven experience with Mailchimp (or similar email marketing platforms).
• Experience managing email campaigns from concept to reporting.
• Strong understanding of CRM platforms and data segmentation
• Experience liaising with external media contacts and managing ad bookings.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Desirable:
• Experience with marketing automation tools.
• Basic HTML knowledge for email template editing.
• Familiarity with GDPR and email marketing best practices.
