We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated teacher who also has excellent leadership skills to lead Maths across years 9-13. We are looking for someone with the ability to inspire and motivate students and staff, who has a proven track record of driving success and a commitment to ensuring all young people, regardless of background, maximise their potential.
The successful applicant will be creative and will actively assist in the further development of Maths across the Academy.
Full Time, Permanent
Qualified Teachers' Pay Scale + TLR 2c

As Maths Teacher / Deputy Head of Department , you will:

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership and direction for the Digital Learning Technologies department.
- Oversee the management and enhancement of the institution's Learning Management System (LMS) and other key digital learning platforms.
- Lead and mentor a team of instructional designers, educational technologists, and support staff.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures for the effective and ethical use of digital learning technologies.
- Collaborate with faculty and academic departments to design and deliver innovative online and blended learning experiences.
- Manage the budget for digital learning technologies, ensuring efficient resource allocation.
- Evaluate and recommend new educational technologies to meet evolving institutional needs.
- Ensure the accessibility and inclusivity of digital learning resources for all students.
- Oversee user support and training programs for students and staff on digital learning tools.
- Represent the department on relevant institutional committees and working groups.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Educational Technology, Information Science, or a related field. A Ph.D. is advantageous.
- Significant experience (7+ years) in managing digital learning technologies within an educational setting, with proven leadership experience.
- In-depth knowledge of Learning Management Systems (e.g., Moodle, Canvas, Blackboard) and a broad understanding of current educational technology trends.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategic plans for technology adoption in education.
- Strong project management, budgeting, and team leadership skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Experience in instructional design principles and online pedagogy is highly desirable.
