You will set up and improve legal compliance strategically advise senior leaders operating with in a robust legal governance framework. Including:

- Develop , implement and maintain policies plus so much more
For this role you will need a law degree with a post graduate qualification and 10 years plus of legal experience. You must have previous technology sector experience and familiarity with international legal frameworks and hands on M&A experience. Ideally you will have set up an international group legal function and thrive in a fast paced enviroment.
This role offer a salary range of £130,000 -150,000 plus bonus of 15% and include travel to the international sites.

Scope of RoleReporting to our Group Financial Officer, we are looking for a Head of Legal to join our London office on part-time 3 days per week, 1 year fixed term basis, focusing on managing the team and partnering with finance and sales on commercial contract negotiations.
As a Head of Legal, you will:- Be a trusted adviser and partner, dealing with all legal aspects of the business and providing guidance and counsel for accomplishing ITRS’ overall goals.
- Manage the legal function by providing a vision and goals aligned to ITRS OKR's; by providing support, oversight and empowerment of the Senior Legal Counsel, by working with external legal and other advisers to ensure that the ITRS receives the best possible advice.
- Support sales and procurement function by managing ITRS suite of templates, legal agreements (including software licencing, partnerships and managed services agreements) and by negotiating contracts and schedules with ITRS’s customers, partners and suppliers.
- Support the business on all legal matters, as point of escalation for all legal issues arising across the ITRS; by assisting with compliance and risk mitigation, by working with external counsel across the jurisdictions ITRS group operates.
- Work with the finance team by assisting with pension, insurance, company secretarial, business licences queries, compliance and risk mitigation.
- Provide oversight of ITRS company secretarial function by working with the providers of company secretarial services to ensure the group companies remain compliant with local laws and regulations.
Requirements
To be successful we are looking for the following experience and attributes:
- Qualified solicitor with at least 8 years PQE and proven experience in general commercial law. Experience of software/technology and the financial services industry would be an advantage.
- Experience managing a legal team
- Analyse information of a written, verbal and technical nature, probe for further information and create workable solutions to problems.
- Track record drafting and negotiating a broad range of commercial agreements (including software licencing, maintenance and distribution) and bespoke commercial contracts
- Commercial awareness and the ability to apply commercial judgment
- Confident in assessing situations, operating autonomously and taking decisions
- Flexibility to react quickly, reschedule and prioritise workload
- Track record in relationship and network building, including helping others, working within and contributing towards effective teams
