**About the Opportunity**
To lead and strategically manage the procurement and supply chain function, ensuring value for money, regulatory compliance, and alignment with project and organisational objectives. The role is critical in supporting safe, efficient, and cost-effective delivery of nuclear decommissioning programmes.
**Other responsibilities include:**
+ Develop and implement procurement and supply chain strategies aligned with organisational goals and NDA requirements.
+ Lead category management, supplier segmentation, and strategic sourcing initiatives.
+ Ensure procurement activities comply with public sector regulations, nuclear safety standards, and internal governance frameworks.
+ Maintain robust audit trails and reporting mechanisms for all procurement decisions.
+ Lead commercial assurance and risk management across the supply chain.
+ Negotiate high-value, complex contracts with Tier 1 and SME suppliers.
+ Manage contract change control, dispute resolution, and exit strategies.
+ Deliver cost savings and value through strategic procurement initiatives.
**Qualifications**
Essential
+ Proven experience in senior procurement/supply chain leadership roles, ideally within nuclear, infrastructure, or regulated sectors.
+ Strong understanding of public procurement regulations, NEC contracts, and nuclear safety culture.
+ Demonstrable success in strategic sourcing, supplier management, and commercial negotiation.
+ Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, including with regulators, government bodies, and Tier 1 contractors.
+ Relevant qualifications (e.g., MCIPS, MBA, or equivalent).

+ Experience in nuclear decommissioning or similar high-hazard environments.
+ Familiarity with NDA governance and funding models.
+ Knowledge of sustainability and social value in procurement.
