The Head of Sales is a pivotal leadership role responsible for defining, developing, and executing Eightcap's global sales strategy to drive significant revenue growth, expand market share, and lead a high-performing sales team. This role requires a visionary leader with deep expertise in the forex and derivatives market, capable of fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, regulatory compliance and client-centricity across all sales functions. You will be instrumental in scaling our sales operations, optimising processes, and collaborating cross-functionally to ensure Eightcap's continued leadership in the online trading space.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership & Execution:

  • Develop, refine, and execute comprehensive sales strategies and tactical plans to achieve ambitious revenue targets and market penetration goals across all client segments (retail, premium, institutional) and geographies
  • Lead the entire sales department, providing strategic direction, setting clear objectives, and ensuring alignment with the company's overall business strategy
  • Identify new market opportunities, product offerings, and sales channels to accelerate growth and competitive advantage

Team Management & Development:

  • Recruit, mentor, coach, and develop a world-class sales team, fostering a culture of high performance, accountability, and continuous improvement
  • Establish performance metrics (KPIs), conduct regular performance reviews, and implement incentive programs to motivate and reward sales team members
  • Oversee the training and onboarding of new sales hires, ensuring deep product knowledge, sales acumen, and adherence to compliance standards

Sales Operations & Process Optimisation:

  • Optimise and streamline the end-to-end sales cycle, from lead generation and qualification to conversion, onboarding, and ongoing client relationship management
  • Implement and manage effective sales processes, CRM utilisation (e.g., Salesforce), and sales enablement tools to enhance efficiency and productivity
  • Analyse sales data, market trends, and competitor activities to derive actionable insights and inform strategic decision-making

Market & Client Engagement:

  • Maintain a deep and up-to-date understanding of the global financial markets, particularly in FX and derivatives, and leverage this knowledge to guide sales strategies and team expertise
  • Oversee high-value client relationships and strategic partnerships, intervening supporting complex negotiations or high-stakes client interactions as needed
  • Enhance Eightcap's brand awareness and market presence through strategic networking, participation in industry events, and thought leadership

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Collaborate closely with Marketing to optimise lead generation, branding, and promotional campaigns
  • Work in conjunction with Product Development to provide market feedback, influence product roadmaps, and ensure sales teams are equipped to sell new offerings effectively
  • Partner with Compliance, Operations, and Legal departments to ensure all sales activities adhere to regulatory requirements, internal policies, and best practices (e.g., AML/KYC)

Reporting & Forecasting:

  • Prepare and present comprehensive sales reports, forecasts, pipelines, and market analyses to the Managing Director and executive leadership
  • Provide strategic insights and recommendations based on sales performance, market dynamics, and team capabilities

Requirements

Essential:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree highly desirable
  • Experience in sales within the financial services industry, with senior sales leadership or management role, ideally in FX, derivatives, or online trading
  • Proven track record of building, leading, and scaling high-performing sales teams to consistently exceed ambitious revenue targets
  • Deep and demonstrable understanding of financial markets, particularly forex and derivatives trading, technical analysis, and various trading platforms
  • Strong strategic acumen with the ability to develop and implement effective sales strategies that drive market share and competitive advantage
  • Exceptional leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills, with a focus on team development and fostering a positive sales culture
  • Well-versed in the electronic trading competitive landscape and global regulatory environments
  • Highly proficient in sales operations, CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce), and data-driven decision-making

  • Is currently or can be RG146 compliant

About You

You are:

  • Well-connected in UK grocery retail, especially with in-store bakery buyers
  • Experienced in opening doors and driving new business in bakery, pastry, or closely related food ingredients
  • Adept at managing the full sales cycle from strategy to execution and from product development to promotion
  • Commercially sharp, with a strong grasp of own-label product development, pricing structures, and promotional frameworks
  • A confident negotiator who can secure and manage major accounts
  • Comfortable working autonomously and cross-functionally, reporting to a European Commercial Director

As Head of Sales , you will lead a small team of Area Sales Managers and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the sales function.

This role is all about strategy, growth, and leadership  -not just maintaining the status quo. You will:

  • Assess the current sales team and dynamics.
  • Build a high-performing structure and strategy for growth.
  • Mentor, coach, and empower your team to exceed their potential.
  • Drive ambitious revenue growth, with the aim of doubling or tripling turnover within two years.
  • Work closely with senior leadership to align commercial goals with wider business objectives.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll combine strategic vision with day-to-day hands-on support for your team.

About You

We are looking for someone who will thrives in a start-up or scale-up environment - where pace, adaptability, and resourcefulness are key. You will bring:

  • A background in electrical manufacturing or related B2B industries .
  • A proven track record of leading and scaling sales teams.
  • Strong experience in building and implementing sales strategies.
