What You’ll Be Doing

Your day-to-day responsibilities may include assisting service users with personal care, safe lifting and moving, administering medication, meal preparation, and providing general companionship. You’ll work closely with care plans to ensure individuals maintain independence and dignity.

You will be an integral part of the healthcare team, ensuring that patient areas, operating rooms, and common spaces are impeccably maintained, contributing directly to patient well-being and infection control. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of infection control protocols specific to healthcare settings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform thorough cleaning and disinfection of patient rooms, wards, and clinical areas according to strict protocols.
  • Clean and sterilize operating theatres, procedure rooms, and associated equipment.
  • Sanitize high-touch surfaces, medical equipment, and common areas to prevent the spread of infection.
  • Dispose of waste, including hazardous and infectious materials, in compliance with regulations.
  • Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, reporting needs to supervisors.
