What You’ll Be Doing

Your day-to-day responsibilities may include assisting service users with personal care, safe lifting and moving, administering medication, meal preparation, and providing general companionship. You’ll work closely with care plans to ensure individuals maintain independence and dignity.

What We’re Looking For

• You must be over 18 years old and have the right to work in the UK.
• Flexibility in your availability, with the ability to travel to different care settings.
• A good standard of English and the ability to communicate effectively.
• A clear enhanced DBS, which you can apply for upon registration.

• Perform thorough cleaning and disinfection of patient rooms, wards, and clinical areas according to strict protocols.
• Clean and sterilize operating theatres, procedure rooms, and associated equipment.
• Sanitize high-touch surfaces, medical equipment, and common areas to prevent the spread of infection.
• Dispose of waste, including hazardous and infectious materials, in compliance with regulations.
• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, reporting needs to supervisors.
• Operate and maintain specialized cleaning equipment and machinery.
• Follow all health and safety guidelines, including the correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Adhere to infection prevention and control policies and procedures at all times.
• Respond promptly to cleaning emergencies and spills.
• Uphold a professional and discreet demeanor while working within sensitive healthcare environments.

• Proven experience in professional cleaning, with a significant focus on healthcare or clinical environments.
• Thorough understanding of infection control principles and best practices.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, disinfectants, and their appropriate use.
• Ability to operate various cleaning equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
• Good physical stamina and ability to perform manual cleaning tasks.
• Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and procedures.
• Willingness to work shifts as required, including early mornings or evenings, at our client's facility in Norwich, Norfolk, UK .
