  • Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels and efficient resource allocation.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and infection control policies and procedures (e.g., COSHH, CQC standards).
  • Investigate and resolve any cleaning-related issues or complaints promptly and effectively.
  • Prepare reports on cleaning performance, supply usage, and compliance metrics for senior management.
  • Train new cleaning staff on proper procedures, use of equipment, and health and safety protocols, potentially via remote video conferencing.
  • Foster a positive and supportive work environment for the cleaning team.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to improve cleaning efficiency and effectiveness through innovative methods and technology.

Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in a supervisory or management role within cleaning services, with a strong preference for experience in healthcare or clinical environments.
  • Thorough understanding of cleaning techniques, chemicals, equipment, and health & safety regulations in a clinical setting.
  • Excellent organisational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities, with the ability to motivate and direct staff remotely.
  • Proficiency in using digital communication and management tools for remote supervision.
  • Knowledge of COSHH regulations and infection control procedures.
  • Ability to maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing needs and priorities.
  • Relevant certifications in cleaning or health and safety are advantageous.
