- Conduct regular virtual inspections of facilities to ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and adherence to safety regulations.
- Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels and efficient resource allocation.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and infection control policies and procedures (e.g., COSHH, CQC standards).
- Investigate and resolve any cleaning-related issues or complaints promptly and effectively.
- Prepare reports on cleaning performance, supply usage, and compliance metrics for senior management.
- Train new cleaning staff on proper procedures, use of equipment, and health and safety protocols, potentially via remote video conferencing.
- Foster a positive and supportive work environment for the cleaning team.
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve cleaning efficiency and effectiveness through innovative methods and technology.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a supervisory or management role within cleaning services, with a strong preference for experience in healthcare or clinical environments.
- Thorough understanding of cleaning techniques, chemicals, equipment, and health & safety regulations in a clinical setting.
- Excellent organisational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities, with the ability to motivate and direct staff remotely.
- Proficiency in using digital communication and management tools for remote supervision.
- Knowledge of COSHH regulations and infection control procedures.
- Ability to maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing needs and priorities.
- Relevant certifications in cleaning or health and safety are advantageous.
