Our client, a leading provider of community-based support services, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Clinical Lead to oversee the provision of high-quality care within their adult social care settings in Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, UK . This crucial role involves leading a team of care professionals, ensuring the highest standards of clinical governance, care planning, and service delivery. You will play a pivotal role in supporting individuals with complex health and social care needs, promoting their independence, well-being, and dignity.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong clinical background, ideally within nursing or a related allied health profession, coupled with significant experience in managing and leading care teams in a social care environment. You will be responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care plans, ensuring they are person-centered, evidence-based, and meet regulatory requirements. This includes supervising and mentoring care staff, conducting training, and ensuring ongoing professional development within the team.
Key responsibilities encompass maintaining excellent communication channels with service users, their families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies. You will be instrumental in developing and implementing policies and procedures to ensure compliance with CQC standards and other relevant legislation. Risk management, safeguarding adults, and promoting a culture of continuous improvement within the service will be central to your role. You will also be involved in the recruitment, retention, and performance management of your team.

- Provide clinical leadership and operational management for adult social care services.
- Ensure the development, implementation, and evaluation of person-centered care plans.
- Oversee the assessment of individuals' health and social care needs.
- Supervise, mentor, and support a team of care professionals, including nurses and support workers.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards (e.g., CQC), and best practices.
- Implement and monitor clinical governance frameworks.

- Registered Nurse (RGN/RMN) qualification or equivalent Allied Health Professional qualification.
- Significant post-qualification experience in adult social care, with demonstrable experience in a leadership or management role.
- Proven experience in care planning, risk assessment, and clinical governance.
- In-depth knowledge of relevant legislation and regulatory frameworks (e.g., CQC).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage complex caseloads and make sound clinical judgments.
- Strong understanding of safeguarding vulnerable adults.
- Proficiency in relevant IT systems.
- Commitment to promoting independence and well-being for service users.
