The main duties of the Highway Engineer are:

·Manage NEC4 Option A & C Target Cost contracts, from raising works orders to completion and final account.

·A minimum of HNC or ONC in Civil Engineering (or equivalent) and substantial related experience.

·Familiarity with DfT highway design standards and asset management principles.
·Proficient in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and associated systems for highways design.

About the Role:
We are looking to appoint an experienced Highways/Drainage Designer to support a range of local highway improvement schemes. The successful candidate will take a lead technical role within the team, overseeing the design work of others while managing their own workload.
The work will primarily involve supporting non-highways development projects with local road and drainage design, working with a DMB (Design and Build) contract under a Local Authority (LA) client.
