The Role

As part of the HVAC and Cooling teams, you will play a critical role in gathering, managing, and analysing heatload data for equipment across the submarine platform. This work underpins the design and integration of cooling and environmental systems, requiring persistence, technical judgement, and strong attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

Collect and manage heatload data for all equipment consumers.nLiaise with equipment owners to secure complete and accurate information.nMaintain and ensure the quality and traceability of the central heatload database.nScrutinise and challenge submitted loads for technical accuracy and robustness.nIdentify opportunities to improve cooling efficiency across the platform.nAnalyse aggregated heatloads to support HVAC and Cooling system integration.nEnsure data delivery aligns with programme milestones.nPromote and maintain high standards of Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE).nKnowledge, Skills & Experience:nAwareness of cooling technologies and thermal management principles.nRelevant engineering experience in mechanical, thermal, HVAC, or systems engineering.nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.nExcellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.nGood organisational skills with attention to accuracy and consistency.nTo be considered, Please either Click apply or email

  • Full domestic ACS qualifications, including CPA1, CENWAT, CCN1, CKR1, HTR1, MET1/2, and City & Guilds NVQ (ACS Aligned) Level 3 or equivalent.
  • Gas Safe registered.
  • Air Source Heat Pump (ASHP) certification preferred or willingness to undertake ASHP training.
  • Commitment to complete WRAS water regulations and ASHP training courses as required.
  • Strong knowledge of gas systems and current industry regulations.
  • Ability to mentor and train others effectively.
  • Competence in maintaining safety standards and risk management.
  • Flexibility for weekend and emergency call-out duties.
  • Excellent organizational skills with accurate documentation and reporting.
